Only thing I saw of definite concern is the safety of the power switch. Looked like even if you locked it, it can still be powered on then not off. Even if you unplug it still a massive safety potential issue for untrained or kids. Would be great if you make a follow up video on this tool and go more indepth on how well and straight the fence is, safety features etc. Decent video for a hey, look at this.
Mines just to powerful has a massive industrial motor. And it’s from the early 80s
This thing is crap man
Was waiting to see if there was a kick back into your glass door . If that was me it would have been smash city I know it 😁
a few things i have run into though , with only the one guide for a rip fence it makes the size of the peice cut for the guide more critical then it would have to be if there were 2. useing the rip fence , the fence is not true 90 % to the table and does not lock straight front to back . the threaded stud on the saw is not long enough to get a full one inch dado set in . 5/8 is about as wide as you go and still have full threads on the nut. the 8 1/4 in blade is just enough to cut all the way through a 4×4 in two passes . a 8in blade will not make that cut. also without the ryobi guide for the dado set , you cant use most homeade style guides.
Thank you Sir for sharing awesome 👍😜
First
Can you put a dado blade on this?
When ripping like that without an outfeed table it’s easier to rip half way and then turn the board on end and cut from the opposite end so you meet in the middle. This is was safer and more stable. This can work on really long material as well with a smaller jobsite type saw
I bought this saw for quick jobs. Easy to load in the bed of my truck with one hand. I made a stand to mount it in the hitch and I use the bed for an out feed table. Works great!
Hey thanks for this video. I saw this saw just yesterday for this price and was thinking about getting my son-in-law this as he just does odd jobs around the house but I’m one that only buys high end tools and was weary about this even for him but yeah it looks pretty good for the weekend carpenter. My Christmas 🎄 shopping is done for him thanks to you 🙂
Hey Dave I called home depot about the saw they say it’s on sale for $119. And that’s normal price I think I made her mad when I busted them out and I even asked her if there lowering the price for cyber Monday I’m going to Lowe’s and buy the Craftsman table saw
Show 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏 Brasil
The blade that came with the saw is actually very good! I cut my trim with smoothe clean cuts.
I love Ryobi products but you don’t do it any justice by not being safe. Use a stable cutting surface, and make sure the fence, riving knife and blade are square before using.
Can you make angle cuts with this?
It looks like the slot for the miter was removed from the left side of the blade.
If there was only to have only one slot, it would have been better on the left side of the blade.
I frequently use a feather board on the left slot to keep pressure of the wood against the fence as you push it through the blade.
60 teeth is better for cross cuts. 24 tooth will make cleaner rip cuts.
Fence. Fence. Fence. Worthless without a good fence.
Would you say the cuts are good enough to make a cutting board?
Thanks
👍🏻🍩☕☕☕🤣
I had the 10 inch and had to get rid of it. The blade wouldn’t sit square and it tossed a bit of wood down the street. Lol.
Everyone should get new blades for any kind of saw, including recip and jig saws. My low-end corded Ryobi jigsaw cut okay, then I put a Bosch blade in it. Wood now cuts like butter.
You went from loosen to tighten then back to loosen during the blade change 🙃🤦 we’ve all been there done that don’t worry
I wonder what the saw would do on a less rickety table? Good video that saw is definitely on my radar 😄👌
Your video is fine, but that wobbly iron table your saw is on is very unprofessional. You’re better off putting on the ground.
How did u get the guard to line up? I had an orange lever to push and it lined up.
You want a 24 tooth blade for ripping. Get a good combination blade and leave the 60 tooth for your miter saw.
Thanks! Just picked mine up yesterday!
just got one will be using it soon
Thank you for your hard work Man Caver Tools
60 teeth is really high for a table saw.. generally a 24tooth blade makes a pretty dang clean and smooth cut on a table saw..
Unboxing mine today. Building aquarium stands. Mostly 2×4, finish paneling and trim.Thank you for this video.
I have always wished I had a table saw. I don’t have a lot of need for one, but a good inexpensive one is what I need.
Hi Dave , your tool présentation is good as usual but sorry to tell you that it sounds like an old VCR😊🇫🇷…
I’ve had the same problem with that bracket on my Metabo HPT. The riving knife snags the work peice. I won’t use a table saw without one. I had to bend it in a vise to straighten it.
I may just go get one of these…
Oof bro you need a Sennheiser Lavalier microphone real bad
The guard is actually placed wrong though on the instructions it shows it should be flat not pointed up. U have to unlock the orange switch thing inside by the blade and pull it all the way out then lock it and the kikckback should go around the blade and the antikickback teeth thing should actually move up to where wood can slide trough
Nice brother! I just got me the same table saw. I’m all team red on all my other tools but I have ryobi miter and table saw because they are cheaper corded tools I don’t use much but nice to have. I too changed out the blade for a Diablo one.
Hey I got a question is that plastic or metal all the displays here are in boxes no way to check
It’s bogging down terribly with that 60 tooth blade. Rip-less teeth!!!!
Thank you so much for the demonstration!!! My work is going to become so much more precise with this machine.
Thanks for the video. Much easier than reading the instruction manual on where to house the accessories. I would say that the riving knife needs to be raised before attaching the guard though.
You hit it out of the park my friend 👍
Has anyone made a crosscut sled for it??
your mic sounds awfull
