Past Me: "Meh, I don’t know if it’s worth watching this. Oh well, what the hell."
Current Me: "Holy shit. How the hell did I never hear/think of a rack stop?!? This video is gold."

I love watching videos like this even though I’m useless working with wood. I can weld and work on cars, but wood? Nope.

  15. Micah Nelson on June 23, 2022 at 9:19 pm

I enjoyed this tutorial video. I gave a "thumbs up" for your efforts therein as well as your tribute to Thomas Sowell.

You remind me of my high school shop teacher. Dude was funny af, and vompletely unfiltered. His class actually had a Parental Permission slip that was required, since we were using power tools. The permission slip held a section at the bottom informing parents about his "potty mouth" right above the signature line.

  33. Paul Bunion on June 23, 2022 at 9:48 pm

We have a 200 year old workbench sitting in the hay loft. It’s truly beautiful but it’s getting old, the vice is a huge wooden thing and it’s got all sorts of cool parts that I’m sure have elaborate uses. Anytime I see a new workbench I think “I need one of those” then I remember there’s a nice 15’x10’ pilgrim age one chillin in the barn. It’s so old most people wouldn’t believe it.

  34. 1nlakesh on June 23, 2022 at 9:50 pm

I think I rather be a metal worker rather than a wood worker when I grow up.

  38. Kevin on June 23, 2022 at 9:53 pm

    "Dust slinging badass."

We used to just say "coke dealer" but whatever, language is organic.

This would have been good to know before I built my bird house. Darn ostriches beat the house down and put me in the hospital.

  43. Tyler Gargano on June 23, 2022 at 10:00 pm

Where can I get that rubberized grippy sh*t? I’d like to try that on my miter saw instead of sandpaper.
