Any tips for finding studs. My stud finder is terrible.

  2. oldNavyJZ on September 29, 2023 at 8:21 pm

    I need that dust hood!

  3. z28camarobc on September 29, 2023 at 8:25 pm

Using the 2nd method, would that be strong enough to hold a 80lbs 75” tv given the shelf being 12-15” deep??

  4. Bryant Valdivia on September 29, 2023 at 8:25 pm

Really good video now you can do a video with some led’s and diffuser installed into the wood so the diffuser is flush with the wood for super advanced lol

  5. holli s on September 29, 2023 at 8:25 pm

I’m just asking asking do you give away shelves

  6. Samuel Riester on September 29, 2023 at 8:26 pm

Okay this might be a dumb question because I am beginner beginner beginner but I was planning to build some floating shelves and in my head I was just going to buy a 2×6 and route out a 1-in by 1-in groove on the back side of it, then mount a 1×1 to the wall studs, slide the 2×6 over it and screw it into the one by one similar to how you mounted the second one, would this not work? And be easier than most of these options?

    Solid work but ryobi…

  15. sandyp196 on September 29, 2023 at 8:31 pm

Nothing more off-putting in a video than personally advertising stuff when I pay £20 a month for an ad free you tube.

  16. Justin VanMetre on September 29, 2023 at 8:33 pm

I really appreciate the video, I’m a beginner woodworker and still learning what I want to do. I’m a little confused about the angle cuts.

  17. TheVintageIris on September 29, 2023 at 8:33 pm

I want hear him speak his other language to see if he talks as fast also lol

  18. Daniel Tenner on September 29, 2023 at 8:37 pm

“Only $40!” ($2000 worth of tools not included”) 😅

  19. 331SVTCobra on September 29, 2023 at 8:39 pm

Heads up: walls aren’t always flat.
I like the maple shelf, that’s really cool. So the only thing I’d add is to first hold a long straight-edge against the wall to make sure there won’t be a huge gap. If there is, I guess the best approach is to fill it in with mud, texture it, repaint, then get on with the shelf.

  20. Megan Elle on September 29, 2023 at 8:40 pm

I need to build a shelf for my laundry closet that has slanted ceilings 🙃 its felt like such a daunting task but these tutorials make it so much more manageable. ❤ thank you

  21. Shahrukh Fernandes on September 29, 2023 at 8:42 pm

he said be frustated and to the next project lol literally how i felt on my first project.

  22. Trent Vlak on September 29, 2023 at 8:45 pm

I like the design of the beginner the best.

  23. Debra Kimberlin on September 29, 2023 at 8:45 pm

    Awesome job 👏 👍🏻

  24. Oscar Gonzalez on September 29, 2023 at 8:45 pm

Really great project. Thank you brother, I’m definitely making a few off of your vision.

  25. Brad Bachleitner on September 29, 2023 at 8:47 pm

If possible can you do another video for the *advanced floating shelf* and maybe go into more detail or video of how you measure it out? Where your pulling tape from etc…. I attempted a shelf like this with some scrap plywood i had, and well it turned out ok, but was tricky measuring and where to exactly cut when marking it out.

  26. Mike Duffy on September 29, 2023 at 8:47 pm

It may be something good for People to know all types of wood stain differently, they will not always be the color on the can. what is on “wood” at the store may not be that color on your wood.

I did the 2×2 method but put the seems in the front then used pre-glued veneer over that to hide that seem to make it look like one board for a mantle

  27. King Jeremy the Wicked on September 29, 2023 at 8:49 pm

Making 45° cuts for a shelf is not advanced. If that’s difficult for someone to figure out, then they’re a complete mor*n and should continue to buy cheap garbage Chinese shelves from Amazon.

  28. Carolina Vargas on September 29, 2023 at 8:49 pm

Is it possible to do the first one with deeper shelves? I want a shoe rack and need about 11 inches. Would it support the weight?

  29. WHITETAIL REALITY outdoors on September 29, 2023 at 8:50 pm

You could have mitered the ends of the second one and inset the top and bottom of the shelf and it would have looked way better. As good as the advanced shelf

  30. Charles Simmering on September 29, 2023 at 8:53 pm

Can you explain the difference between the intermediate and advance. Is it strength of the shelve?

  31. Rica Rabanes on September 29, 2023 at 8:55 pm

What colour minwax stain did you use ?

  32. Agnus78 on September 29, 2023 at 8:56 pm

Tutorial lacks dimensions in metric system 🙁

  33. Modo Gaming on September 29, 2023 at 8:56 pm

You really don’t need a mask in that space with both garage doors shut and no real ventilation?….

  34. Jesse Burrows on September 29, 2023 at 8:57 pm

Beautiful work. Better boards are not essential but worth it. Not to mention digging through the cheap wood at the store to get a manageable piece. Where do I put stock on wood? It is going to be more valuable than gold soon.

  35. Reymundo Ramirez on September 29, 2023 at 8:57 pm

I did the advance one as opposed to the intermediate shelf. So far so good. Just need to put a finish on and add supports and bam! I’m done. Thanks for the video, I definitely tried and messed up and got frustrated but it’s looking really good. 👍

  36. Hugo Rosel on September 29, 2023 at 8:58 pm

  37. Miss_Andry on September 29, 2023 at 8:59 pm

  45. apllDgrapllD on September 29, 2023 at 9:15 pm

  46. Face Zaku on September 29, 2023 at 9:15 pm

  47. Robert West on September 29, 2023 at 9:15 pm

    you talk to much

  48. Jaider Ariza on September 29, 2023 at 9:18 pm

15:21 I just want to understand why the dimension of the frame, and I see now, the outside box is 72" and the frame is 70" 3/4"… but the internal of the box is 71′ (1/2" plywood each size) and that why you have the 1/4" wiggles room. great idea!

  49. Hon Faraz on September 29, 2023 at 9:19 pm

Thanks for the helpful video. What is the maximum possible depth for the intermediate shelf?
