Very nice jigs!. By good fortune, Rocker is opening a store reasonably close to me next month, so I will check them out. ("Reasonably close" is 25 miles instead of 150 to the next closest store.)
Which is the strongest joint out of these?
I’m in an ole buddy of mines shop.He says P.C. today is "fixture".Ha !
You do good work.Take your time.
Im never a fan of plastic, but at least Rockler uses fiberglass and not the flimsy crap Kreg uses.
What jig interest you the most?
4:09 You don´t need to do it that way, simple make a mark and it´s done. Not overcomplicate things.
Just found your channel because my friend is totally amazed with some of you guys who love crafting with wood! New friend here.
It cul to watch and learn da hard way great job though
Never thought about using a doweling jig on mitered corners, but the effect looks pretty cool, especially when mixing wood species…. Thanks for sharing!
Great content
Killer vid! From the boxes to the beats!
really great demonstration of these tools. i feel much more confident in choosing and using them.
Excellent video and great presentation. Just the right speed and very clear explainations. Good Job
Just got a corner key doweling jig yesterday, and this vid is in my feed today! Thanks for the info
Very nice, well done video. As always you did a good job describing the entire video. Love the look of the corner dowels
For the corner key doweling jig does it say the thinnest stock that can be used? I wonder if it will work on 1/8 to 1/4 thick stock.
Would you be able to do some videos on doing cheap set flats and set pieces for films?
Cool video.. Ok Rockler I’ll buy a jig or two..LOL
That was… very informative, well done, and nicely presented. Great work! Also appreciate all the links in the top. Helps ensure with everything available out there, we’re finding exactly what you were working with.
if the jig were wider and had two pilot holes it would be twice as fast and more accurate. who makes that jig, that’t the one i’d buy.
I Love your works,it’s really Nice
Am in Nigeria and i want to start doing my own creations and concepts but i don’t have the kind of equipments you have that makes your work stand out.
I really need your help
Pls Reply my comments. Thanks
I can see saving TON of $ on screws. THANKS.
Gotta get a corner key jig. Awesome.
Excellent video for that newer generation. This will get you comfortable with joinery, and allow you to evolve into other levels at your own pace. Before you know it, you’ll be doing all sorts of joinery… but coming back to a dowel system now and then will always be there in your mind.
Now, we just need a square hole version. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Great videos!! You do some amazing work.
You really hit all the major benefits and downsides of each of these. Appreciate the good coverage. I’m looking to build a heater cover so still trying to figure out the best method to join the wood.
Thanks so much! I’ve been meaning to try the mitered!
Love them all, very cool.
nice video thanks!
Thanks for the clear explanation on these nice tools!
Cool super cool
Great Demo & Info!!! Thank You!!!! 👍😎💪😃
Thanks for sharing👍
I really enjoy your channel. While I only watch the videos that interest me at the time, I really appreciate how you get the information across with out making others feel like complete idiots.
i need something like this just to drill a straight hole so my screw sets straight and not pull the joint off any suggestions also not using a drillpress something portable
Great job explaining the jigs.
came very close to buying the dowel jig. but would cost 66 euro to get it to me. i live in Ireland.
Good instructional video!
What I love about this channel is that you cover stuff that might be second nature to experienced woodworkers, but confusing to newbies like me (flipping the boards on the dowel jig end joinery — I might not have caught that and tried to correct or toss and start over… yeah, sometimes I’m that slow). Thank you!
Very clear presentation. I am off to my local Rockler store in San Diego. This dowel connections will improve my finished surfaces for tables and more. Great Job
This is great. Thanks very much. I have the corner doweling jig and haven’t used it yet. Now I know how! Thanks again.
Great video, thanks for posting.
Would u do a video building a small liquor Cabinet/bar? mini fridge and space for glass wear would be a nice feature
Just what I was looking for. Awesome work!
stupid question here.
Don’t you need to use glue with those dowels?
are there tools using the metric system ?
Great video
Honestly, I’ve never made anything for my home but I love your channel. I check up on it periodically and I’m looking at starting to stock up on a little tooling to have a go at some of your projects myself.
Keep up the fantastic work, you’re a brilliant video maker, teacher and craftsman.
👍
I have the original non-pro beadlock jig. The pro you’ve got looks pretty nice, might have to consider upgrading…
And you’re definitely right about harder vs softer woods with the jig. Cutting good beadlocks in a 2×4 is a huge pain, Walnut or Maple way easier,
