Great tips as usual!
Thanks my friend
Simplest solution Iβve seen for clamp jaw extenders. Thanks for that.
Thank you! Simple solutions to many of my problems.
You know you say your name totally wrong…Knecht was the name of the people/ kids that lived at the farmers house and worked for their food. They had little primitive rooms, no heater. Just some wood walls separating the bitter cold outside. They usually couldnβt afford shoes and their parents βgaveβ them to farmers because they were so poor and at least their kids could still eat working at farmers.
Great video. Loved the simple C-clamp idea about hanging them upside down. I have always had to tighten mine down to keep them from slipping off.
Great tips , well presented in an easy and friendly manner. I wish all tips videos were as watchable as yours!
Have you tried for edging bicycle tube cut in short stripes and attached to spring clamps?
Those bar clamp extensions…
You come up with that yourself ?
I cannot believe I never thought about it…or seen it …and Iβve got about 38 antique/vintage books on woodworking that detail more elaborate yet far less functional concepts to achieve the same thing.
If thatβs your idea…you should be proud!..thatβs a game changer for sure!
I restore antiques and am in constant need of unusual clamping concepts.
That idea changed my life for the better in a small way. ππ½π
Cork/silicone pads for a non-marring surface….so simple, yet so obvious, once you point it out!
Good tip!
The extension bar is awesome! I could have used that a while ago. I’m going to make it with some scrap I have lying around.
nice tips
Does any one ever use a biscuit joiner thanx
Bottle caps are also good for "C" clamps. I use them in pieces that I do not want to scratch, and they’re free. Good video!
Great tips.
I’m thinking of building the c-clamp bar on my work bench that you showed. What about putting the flat bar on the inside of the front legs so that the claps are a little further under the top and out of the way? Any issues you see with this?
Love it!
Great video!
Whoops, I left out the βfeltβ, apply a 1β Strip of felt with double sided tape to the dust collector frame. This acts as a gasket.
Another hack for clamps is run a piece of 2in blue tape down the clamp and the glue squeeze out lands on it and when done clamping can pull it off easy clean up.
Great video about clamps
Great Ideas!
When utilizing "peel and stick" anything mare sure to clean the surface you are sticking to. I know this, but often forget to do it, or just try to brush the dust off with a finger. WHen I take the time to clean the surface it always stays.
Thx. for the clamping tips. I’m a wood carver, bear hand carvings of all sizes and chainsaw bear carving for years. And I do use clamps for many purposes.
Ein paar grossartige Ideen …man erkennt SOFORT den Handwerker π€ππππ
Awesome tips, going to do that extension for my clamps.

I like the extensions.. Now I have a project to keep me busy this week.
As far as the term ‘hacks’ ? Ehhh.. Just call em modifications. Hacks sounds like it’s some super secret stuff that requires a secret hand shake or something.. It’s not that complicated Collin.. lol
Very useful hacks/tips. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Colin. Thanks for the new tips. We have just been doing a room divider using MDF AND PUTTING 5mm Parota plywood on its faces. You tip on edging plywood with a wood edge with painters tape in theory would this work putting the plywood on the MDF using the same method?
