In this video I fit the glides to the angle iron and start working on the steel adjustment mechanism that will get welded to the angle iron.

Would it be easier to transfer the lines with some kinda of paint or marker on the pins? I’ve used this a few times with descent success but it never had to be exact. I wonder what would work the best to make a clean crisp transfer mark.

One of the best ways I’ve found to mark this material is to use layout dye. Red or blue Dykem layout dye. Give it a try if you like. Take care.

Grainger has those 3/8" 16tpi nylon set screws. I think it is really good feature to be able to plumb the fence really quickly and accurately. I will drill and tap one of my original holes and drop in a set screw later. You can always save shipping from Grainger by calling in your order to be picked up at you local store at will call. They don;t charge for internal deliveries.

Did you noticed that based on this video series I started a company with one of my YouTube subscribers called VerySuperCool Tools where we now have a production version of this fence for sale? I have one of the new fences but still use this t-square I made in the series everyday too. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year. Allan

I show all of that in detail in the VerySuperCool Tools videos about the production fence. Once you see the videos it will be clear.

@deleetmeeh You know me, if I’m not scratching metal with my scribe and combination square I don’t know how to do it 🙂
