Great tips. It’s amazing how long we struggle before thinking of, or seeing a simple tip. Thank you thank you. Colin

  3. Jimmie Rude on April 13, 2022 at 5:58 pm

The lap tip is amazing thank you.

  4. William Murphy on April 13, 2022 at 5:59 pm

Or … you could use the trig functions on your phone. No need for a chart.

  5. Robert Langley on April 13, 2022 at 6:01 pm

    Excellent thank you.

  6. Chris Moody on April 13, 2022 at 6:02 pm

I like the table saw tenon test. So simple and effective.

  7. mcgeorgerl on April 13, 2022 at 6:02 pm

As far as the Carpenter Square trick, most of the ones I’ve been seeing at the home stores lately are junk. Easily, they are off 1/2 to a full degree and if you "nest" a bunch off of the rack, they’re all over the place. How about a video that takes one of these inaccurate ones and demonstrate how a typical homeowner can "adjust" the square to, well, actually be ninety degrees?

  8. Dave Schmitt on April 13, 2022 at 6:04 pm

By the way Shopsmith has a great fine adjuster for the table saw.

  9. Stephanie Ray on April 13, 2022 at 6:04 pm

    Pure gold. thanks so much.

  10. Donnie McElwain on April 13, 2022 at 6:05 pm

Detroit Red Wings in the foreground and books in the background, quite a paradox.

  11. Robert Upshaw on April 13, 2022 at 6:09 pm

You can use your tips on weekdays as well. Boy got humor!

  12. DPSocrates on April 13, 2022 at 6:10 pm

Good tips just stop the ads before the video

  17. Trent Thompson on April 13, 2022 at 6:18 pm

Have you done a video on routers? I started making cornhole boards during COVID and I use a borrowed router to make the 6” holes. I want to round off all of the tops but don’t know if a trim router or a large fixed router would be best, buying my own.

  18. douglasfilm on April 13, 2022 at 6:20 pm

    Great stuff. I thought I knew everything but now I know I don’t. LOL>

  25. Osage Jon on April 13, 2022 at 6:28 pm

I saw this in one of the click bait life hack videos. (I hate that I even ever look at them but that’s another story.) Drill through the center of a CD with the reflective side up, when the reflections of the bit and drill are all the same length you are perpendicular to the work. It works surprisingly well and easily.

  26. longnamenocansayy on April 13, 2022 at 6:29 pm

i don’t do anything with wood working but i really like these down and dirty tips for accomplishing easy tasks=tasks made easy when you know how.

  30. Eye of the Forest on April 13, 2022 at 6:31 pm

I really love these tips, they improve my quality of life when working on a projects. Setting the blade to exactly half the thickness is just the tip i needed!

  31. Donna Beckemeier on April 13, 2022 at 6:32 pm

Dear Mr. Nubs, This is not related to any of your videos even tho I watch every one of them and they all have given me very valuable advise and information. My comment is based on my own anality. I’m sorry to say it t is about your Stumpy Nubs sign hanging behind you. It does not look straight to me and drives me to distraction .Is the right side just a smidge high? I will continue to watch, but will still be distracted! LOL

  32. Brian Stevens on April 13, 2022 at 6:34 pm

That first one, I use two slotted boards clamped to a stanley benchmate, works quite well.I have been meaning to replace the original boards, when I do one end will be rounded and one end slotted….

  33. Daniel Pittman on April 13, 2022 at 6:35 pm

A little over 30 degrees, but close enough.

  34. Kiki Lang on April 13, 2022 at 6:36 pm

I was at a guys shop, and he had a varible control of speed on his grinding wheel. He said, "I’m not as young as I used to be, so I had to slow it down, so if make a mistake, I don’t ruin my blade, and I don’t have to worry about over heating them. I tried to ask him, how he set up grinder, but he just kept talking.

  35. Darin on April 13, 2022 at 6:36 pm

    thanks

  36. jack002tuber on April 13, 2022 at 6:38 pm

    Dwight Schrute.

  38. R P on April 13, 2022 at 6:39 pm

The dual purpose weekend weekday drill guide is the simplest solution. So surprising how hard it is to drill a 90° freehand!

  39. Filthy on April 13, 2022 at 6:43 pm

    @3:50 but I dont even have a table saw…
can I install that blade on a handheld drill? Seem like an interesting product

  40. Thomas Byrne on April 13, 2022 at 6:45 pm

Thanks as always for such great help…

    Mind blown!

  43. Liam small on April 13, 2022 at 6:47 pm

Brilliant tips as always man. If someone only had a mite or chop saw with a depth stop, would the set up hack for half laps work on that?

  44. Xpect on April 13, 2022 at 6:51 pm

You know, I’ve never done any woodworking. But since I always dreamt of furnishing my living space with my own furniture, I have to do some in the future. And honestly, your channel is awesome for Information and you present everything in a way, that even I as a total outsider in the World of woodworking can understand it. I thank you for that and I hope you stay the way you are.

  45. Woodworks by Grampies on April 13, 2022 at 6:52 pm

This is so awesome! I think my favorite was the angle "tip" but only by a sliver as the "half a lap" joint method tip is also a very good one. Thanks for making and sharing these videos, take care and have a good one. Adios! 🖐

  46. Bilal Qadeer on April 13, 2022 at 6:52 pm

I envy your shelf. If only I could have these many cool tools

  47. potterma63 on April 13, 2022 at 6:52 pm

"You can use this chart…" or, you can whip out your phone and calculate the angle with tangent…

  48. Dave Schmitt on April 13, 2022 at 6:54 pm

    Good tips. Thanks

  49. christian stitt on April 13, 2022 at 6:54 pm

much respect to you and your channel. i was told a planes edge should have a very slight curve to it,is this correct ?
