In this woodworking tips and tricks video, we show you another 5 great workbench life hacks.
In my workshop, the workbench is the hub. Everything I do revolves around the workbench so it no accident that all sorts of little improvements revolve around it, and in the meantime, I am getting a chance to use some of the free, reclaimed lumber I seem to have acquired.

👍
Omg that racking fix is amazing
Some More GREAT things that W0RK❕ C00L👍🏼
I’m a subscriber and I’ve learned a lot from your videos but I have to disagree with your approach to dowel cutoff‘s I find a miter box and a Japanese saw far easier and quicker for cutting dowels
I appreciate the fact that you have your Jack plane laying on its side. Good habit and practice to get into. Good material right there.
great tricks but the vice protector was by far the smartest! thanks for sharing !
Simpel, easy to make and tremendously helpful. Just great what you do in your vids. thank you a lot for all the tips and tricks
I love all of your tips. Thanks 😊
I love your videos. Often the advise you give turns something that would take me an hour, down to a few minutes. I built a jug that took forever to make to hold pipe to cut pipes. Had I seen this, which is quick simple to make and no rigging for different sizes. Good thing is, I am going to cut copper pipes very soon for a project.
Good stuff. Thank you sir 👍
I really like your videos.. you have made a lot of gigs. My question is where do you store all your gigs?
Loving all the scrap wood ideas I get from your videos
I’m a novis woodworker and came across your videos. I like your ideas and I have a question well a few
Is their a way to make homemade clamps as am getting into woodworking
Another very informative video. Great job.
Wow!!!! Just re-watched for probably the 10nth time. Super great tips Collin. Some of these should be re-addressed for some of our new woodworkers!!! These are tips you will not find anywhere else. Thanks Collin for all you do!!!!
Ok very good! Thank you.
like the feeler gauge idea for the vice
Please let me know how to make the Dowel Clamping jig. Do you have a video on it?
That’s great information you are sharing there Colin, thank you – what useful ideas so simple – but as you say save you time and money and tool wear, not to mention the safety aspect as well with the V section dowel holders and the the little gadget for saving the woodworking vice, absolutely brilliant thanks mate.
the anti slip material that you used on the bench horse would certainly help hold the dowels from spinning
I always get the impression I’m watching an actor, the ‘workshop’ is the studio and the mismatched tools are the props. Colin does very little real construction, techniques are described in his script rather than demonstrated. On the rare occasion he does pick up a tool his grip is wrong… experienced woodworkers handle tools differently…
Just a thought…
Great video! I learned a lot of great tips and got a lot of ideas!
I wish I had found your channel before Colin, as I learn so incredible much from these tips! Thank you so much!
I have magnets ca glued all around in my shop. These days they are about the only things I haven’t misplaced. You have great tips. Thank you.
That anti-racking device is brilliant
These are brilliant!! I especially like how the dowel jig has multi sizes in one.
Mate, u r my favourite bloke to learn from. Keep up the good work, thanks from Australia
Thanks as always Colin, I appreciate your videos.
That spacer thing for the other side of the vise is darned clever. I’ll have to remember that.
Only one word Sir, you’re genius!!
Thanks
All great tips. Thank you for the series of tips.
"The Fan Shim" anti-racking combobulator! Now that’s terrific idea!!!
Vedic on removing and installing a skylight on a 2006 classic r/v , with a me brain roof cover
My fav yet
Super and briliant! Thank you!
Very helpful. Thanks
especially liked the triple vee blocks. Until you explained, I was puzzled as to why 3 different sized grooves. now makes perfect sense.
All your tips & tricks videos are so great!
Always very clever tricks in your videos Colin, thank you very much 🙂
The vice anti-racking idea is great. I have a wood vice that came out of an old high school and has to be at least 100 years old and I never considered that it could snap in two. BTW…..I like all your lessons on wood working!
Where do you get that anti-skid material?
Put double sided tape on the side of the magnet that is on the machine. It will never move at all.
I love how I get the impression of "Experienced" off of you 🙂
What brand double sided tape do You use?
The anti-racking set is genius!
Wonderful ideas. Thank you.
Add double-sided tape to the side of the magnet that is going to go on the machine and it will never move at all
