    As far as the first wood turning project go’s I remember my dad making this "ring cups" back in the early 90s with up to 5 rings on them on a much more primitive lathe, no one was impressed back then, but now people do this and are looked at like gods.
    It’s a shame dad wasn’t 30 years longer he’d have been the wood tuning God of YouTube in the current time.

    I noticed that you cut the bottom off a cup while pressing your finger on it’s base while cutting it off on the band saw. Please, that is a nono….practice safe wood working habits or you won’t be able to play the flute with both hands….

    You can make good senseable coasters for the purpose with that log .. All types can be resolved made for with the pencils marking the end Lifestyle best regards coasters for your self
