7 More Woodworking Projects That Sell – Low Cost High Profit – Make Money Woodworking

Grow your woodworking business with “smalls”! Ready for the latest trends??? Let’s break down some more builds and I’ll also be showing you step by step of how to make the farmhouse calendar.
Often, smaller items are looked over by new builders looking to make a name for themselves because they are looking for “that one build” that they can sell for a ton of money. They aren’t considering the cost of the build and the time spent making it. Ultimately any business comes down to profit margins. I’ll give you a few examples of how selling items that anyone can afford can generate crazy sales with minimal cost of goods sold!
Sometimes we overthink things when the most profitable items we are looking past. Let’s change that.

I can’t remember to flip the wall calendar at the end of each month, much less to move the markers on something like this. 🤣

  3. Nick Piper on February 17, 2023 at 5:10 am

Hey Mathew I appreciate what you do for the woodworking community. Your videos have inspired me and my woodworking business to new heights. Once again thank you

  4. Rick Wanless on February 17, 2023 at 5:13 am

Mathew I have been looking through your back catalogue, and you have done a few redo of some of your earlier stuff, you really need to redo the Mad Hatter Build and make some plans as that is awsome.😁

  8. Les Pickett on February 17, 2023 at 5:15 am

A very in depth discussion about making money from woodwork by creating uniquely different products that will sell. Well done. Thanks

Love your channel! For the jewelry stand. I thought about adding a piece of wood to cover that other piece of lazy Susan and it lookes like more.! Thank you Matthew 😊

    Good stuff

  20. blumax413 on February 17, 2023 at 5:34 am

Love all your small do it yourself wood building products to sell. I’m trying to find out how to stop my batteries from draining power in my shop that gets super cold in winter and super hot in summer.. Was hoping you knew something that could stop this from happening. And thanks again for all your great videos. Keep them coming.

  21. Rickard Nilsson on February 17, 2023 at 5:35 am

A question, are those three different sizes of stamps?

  22. Brad Brown on February 17, 2023 at 5:35 am

Would no nails, but wood pegging be more desirable.

  23. Francois Hempel on February 17, 2023 at 5:35 am

Hello Matthew, Francois here from South Africa. Just LOVE your channel, your ideas, and your thoughts on other items. Would like to message you on a more private platform if any way possible. Thanks for an awesome and inspiring channel.

  24. Bengalpool on February 17, 2023 at 5:37 am

I gotta say, you’ve really inspired me. I’ve been watching your videos for some time. I want to put my creativity to use and open my own garage/store. I have everything I need (tools, setup, etc.). My only roadblock is FEAR. Fear of someone mocking my work. I’m confident in what I do. I just don’t want to waste my time. Sounds dumb, but I’ve always had this problem with putting my work on display, whether it’s graphic design or whatever. I’m going to make a real push to start something special thanks to you.

"Tetnas shot" I love this guy/////1

  26. Marc Latini on February 17, 2023 at 5:39 am

    1/2" or 3/4" wire staples?

  27. Corey Masterson on February 17, 2023 at 5:41 am

The items sold by WF are definitely overpriced. You can duplicate a lot of the items incredibly cheap. Mark up is insane for these mass produced items.

  28. Frank Spragg on February 17, 2023 at 5:42 am

Do you have a book on many of your projects?

  29. Rustic Vermont Creations on February 17, 2023 at 5:42 am

The profit on these pieces is only that high if you totally discount your time.

  30. Vince Mcmain on February 17, 2023 at 5:43 am

Are there any non toxic wood finishes I could use inside my home like to get into wood working the only available space I have is a extra bedroom used a storage room I would like to do some projects in looking if anyone knows of anything that doesn’t give off any toxic fumes or any natural ways tried looking up YouTube videos no one has anything

  31. Brad Brown on February 17, 2023 at 5:44 am

Laser engraving would really customize it.

  32. Matthew Jason on February 17, 2023 at 5:44 am

    great message at the end.

  33. Ends in a on February 17, 2023 at 5:47 am

What do you mean by "WF"?

  34. Memelord Supreme on February 17, 2023 at 5:49 am

I’ll never understand who or why people would pay those astronomical prices for this junk. I love this series. It’s just crazy that folks don’t realize how cheaply made they are.

  35. Jennie Fuller on February 17, 2023 at 5:50 am

The big pieces of wood with holes in them are perfect for large fires – create the hole in the center of the log (put it up like the tree stands) and make sure the log chunk is at least 1-2 ft tall. It works like a chimney. Pretty cool!

  36. Shon Merida on February 17, 2023 at 5:51 am

love this about your channel. Can you do a video about building a PB knockoff of the Scout Display Cabinet. Curious on how to bend the plywood of that size.

  37. Subrata Gym Boy on February 17, 2023 at 5:51 am

    👍👍👍👍

  38. Katherine Howard on February 17, 2023 at 5:52 am

Love your videos!! Do you have any info on working with manzanita? I have an abundance of it on my property and can’t find any info on prepping it etc. Can you work with it while it’s green and is there a process for prepping it for projects? Maybe you have some info 😊

  39. cute cat on February 17, 2023 at 5:53 am

    Nice work 👍🏻

  40. Mike Surgenor on February 17, 2023 at 5:56 am

Matthew. It appears that someone may be scamming using your name and videos

  41. Preston Cox on February 17, 2023 at 5:58 am

Your videos are super helpful man! I love this set of projects. I just got some free wood scrap from a local cabinet shop. Going to try out that herringbone tv tray this weekend I think. Would be a perfect project for those scraps I claimed.

  42. Erin O'Brien on February 17, 2023 at 5:58 am

We can’t find untreated pine pickets in our area- is the yellow pine a better choice? They are all treated.

  43. Thomas A. Anderson on February 17, 2023 at 5:58 am

    Problems….
    1. Those are NOT 45 degree angles (1:45). Those are solid, single pieces of wood cut out at a 90 degree angle. (Notice the oval grain flows perfectly across the bend in the center pieces. That is not a mirror cut 45, that is a delicate coping cut at 90 degrees.)
    2. Those hooks are not the same and will not function the same for jewelry. The pin ‘hooks’ on the online site are straight because it allows multiple chains, earings, etc. to be hung from a single hook without getting entangled. The classic rounded hooks you quoted can only hold one item of jewelry each as adding multiple would result in gravity pulling all of them together and entangling, defeating the point of hanging your jewelry in the first place. (6:20)
    3. 9:20 – Complains about "Vintage" retail version using brass Phillips Head screw…proceeds to superglue staples to file cabinet pulls, cause you know…C.A. Glue was invented centuries before brass phillips head screws. LOL!!!!!
    4. 16:35 – Those two versions… Look nothing alike quality wise. You basically took something that is near art gallery quality and then showed us something a C-grade 8th grader would create in shop class and said "These are of similar enough quality that customers of the same spending potential would view both as equal in desirability."
Ya, and I bet you’d say "if you put lipstick and a dress on a pig you can have a prom date."
Not… The… Same…. WOW…I would LOVE to live in the rosy colored world of delusion you must live in dude. Are you Ron Popeil’s kid or something, cause you seem to think you can pass Chineseium grade woodworking crap off as high value retail stock and No one seems to notice.
My hats off to you good sir. Nice snow job.

  44. Jamie Lewis on February 17, 2023 at 5:58 am

    You have a great talent.And a good eye.Have a bless day.

  45. DustinVoyles on February 17, 2023 at 5:59 am

I enjoy your videos bro. Glad to see you are doing well.

  46. Sue Capra on February 17, 2023 at 6:00 am

The calendar would be great as a wall hanging item. Great info. I’ve also have said that if you want anything to sell make it something useful.

  47. Timothy Cobb on February 17, 2023 at 6:01 am

I’ve redesigned it to be a hanging version. With sliding site windows in slots and a key holder along the bottom.

  48. Joe Riggs on February 17, 2023 at 6:04 am

These will not sell why isn’t he showing how fast they sell. He just takes advantage of desperate ppl then sells them his build plans on Etsy like every other unsuccessful wood workers lol

  49. William Nichols on February 17, 2023 at 6:06 am

Just started making squiral pickneck tables will see how it goes
