8 More Woodworking Projects That Sell – Make Money Woodworking (Episode 18)

Grow your woodworking business with “smalls”! Ready for the latest trends??? Let’s break down some more builds!

Often, smaller items are looked over by new builders looking to make a name for themselves because they are looking for “that one build” that they can sell for a ton of money. They aren’t considering the cost of the build and the time spent making it. Ultimately any business comes down to profit margins. I’ll give you a few examples of how selling items that anyone can afford can generate crazy sales with minimal cost of goods sold!
Sometimes we overthink things when the most profitable items we are looking past. Let’s change that.

  5. Laura Marshall on July 10, 2023 at 2:17 pm

Interestingly, the flag is not a correct American flag. It only has 11 stripes. Love your videos.

  6. TheHoundwg on July 10, 2023 at 2:18 pm

An easy staple for spanning wood cracks is what is called a "Hive Staple" by bee keepers. They use them to connect hives together for transportation.

  7. Gary Whitener on July 10, 2023 at 2:20 pm

Hey could you do video on how to make the split drawer in the back would love to try this

  12. Linda Raphael on July 10, 2023 at 2:27 pm

Matthew, I’m so excited I have to share. I made a Rustic Bath Towel Organizer and posted it. I’ve now sold 4 in about a week. It really does pay to research and watch your wording. A BIG thank you for your videos.

  13. Rhea Griffiths on July 10, 2023 at 2:27 pm

Tinker repair. I have a plate like that. This look is easier than bowtie.
Looks great. Really appreciate this series.

  14. E.G. Does It on July 10, 2023 at 2:27 pm

Hi Matthew! The star project would be perfect to salvage the middle star with a laser cutter/ engraver. If anyone who has access to one or has a friend who owns one, I would recommend hitting them up for this project.

  15. ratmax1231 on July 10, 2023 at 2:35 pm

    Love your videos

Making canadian flags with old fence boards. Takes me 45 minutes to build. 75$ a peice. Gave the first few away for free too family and friends. Cast the lure…wait for the bite!

  17. Dylan Kuehl on July 10, 2023 at 2:37 pm

I notice you have bridge city tools in the back. How do you think their squares compare to woodpecker?

  18. Richard Mccann on July 10, 2023 at 2:42 pm

If you wanted to use cut nails, you can anneal them on the gas burner, and cool them slowly in ashes or sand.

  19. 7 years ago on July 10, 2023 at 2:43 pm

    BTW Subscribed!

  20. The Mixitman on July 10, 2023 at 2:44 pm

Where are you/others actually selling these things? Just curious because when I look around etsy, theres a few scattered here and there, but anyone with a newer shop, good luck, because there are sooooo many out there.

  21. Vic Austin on July 10, 2023 at 2:45 pm

My husband watched your videos. I said you "need to research" these items for "demamd". Not only did he NOT EARN MONEY, BUT WE ARE IN THE RED. SMH……

  22. Richard Mccann on July 10, 2023 at 2:46 pm

I have to go thru your videos and make sure I thumbs upped each one! I love your help that much! Thanks Matthew! Peace!

  23. Ken Luning on July 10, 2023 at 2:46 pm

Pound on a new nail and make it look old. LOL

  24. 7 years ago on July 10, 2023 at 2:47 pm

Your next project should be a build of that pallet flag with the correct number of stripes. 😊

  25. Larry Stone on July 10, 2023 at 2:48 pm

Great job and project thx for sharing enjoyed it

  26. Woodworks by Grampies on July 10, 2023 at 2:50 pm

Hola! 🖐Thanks for all of the awesome ideas. Have a good one, Adios!👊

  27. PJCnCShop on July 10, 2023 at 2:51 pm

Does the pallet flag only have 11 stripes?

  28. Brent Fowler on July 10, 2023 at 2:51 pm

I’d use a full pallet and use extra pallet slats, to fill in. And make it, pallet size, and set it up out in the yard.

  29. Chad Parks on July 10, 2023 at 2:53 pm

    Wire staple

  30. Kevin McFadden on July 10, 2023 at 2:57 pm

At least make your flag with the correct number of stripes if you make one.

  31. Rob I on July 10, 2023 at 2:57 pm

I cannot find the plans that show how to build the tray with hardware cloth. Do you have a video on making it?

  32. Nicky T on July 10, 2023 at 2:57 pm

oh man. great stuff. im so close to buying a table saw and a brad nailer. i feel like we could do this.

  33. Cable Mann on July 10, 2023 at 2:58 pm

I have to ask,…. What is the little black box thing that you have clipped to your hat?

  34. T lameo on July 10, 2023 at 3:00 pm

    Wire staples

  35. Richard Mccann on July 10, 2023 at 3:03 pm

Id bet the plywood stars could be made from strips of plywood with single spline joints.

  36. Lydia Fitzpatrick on July 10, 2023 at 3:03 pm

If you have a CNC machine. You can make the stars easily. Then you would have that solid star too. Great ideas! Thank you!

  37. Curtis Roque on July 10, 2023 at 3:04 pm

Where do you buy wood screws in bulk for discount prices. Hardware stores are so high.

  38. dondale68 on July 10, 2023 at 3:05 pm

On that pallet flag, you’d just have to count the boards to be the strips. They’ve only got 11

  39. Merrill S on July 10, 2023 at 3:05 pm

Your videos are awesome! Thank you!

  40. Sean Weiss on July 10, 2023 at 3:06 pm

Bro what would be even better would to be recess that staple so it’s still visible but you can make the top completely flat and coat the whole thing in epoxy

  41. infered5 on July 10, 2023 at 3:06 pm

I really like these videos, but struggle due to my lack of toolage, and I’m not buying any more until I start making some stuff. Can you try a few projects with just a circular saw and a few basic hand tools for us beginners to follow with?

  42. toby's sawdust on July 10, 2023 at 3:07 pm

awesome video huw tall is that cracked box over your left shoulder

  43. Delia Guzman on July 10, 2023 at 3:07 pm

I love your takedowns of these trends! It’s crazy what people will pay for a piece of dimensional lumber with a handle cut in it. Sheesh.

  44. Marcus Jones on July 10, 2023 at 3:08 pm

Just goes to show us that with smart vocabulary, you can sell the exact same thing just word it differently! 😉 sadly I’ve been gullible to this market strategy

  45. Cathy Sweany on July 10, 2023 at 3:08 pm

    Horseshoe nail

  46. steve steve on July 10, 2023 at 3:08 pm

Another great video thanks for sharing really weird on the Flag build how they only went with 11 strips I have a mini one I bring camping it is from Max F on here his build I always want to make a bunch and try selling them when we are camping, lots of foot traffic people like to display their campsites

  47. SNGMC GARAGE on July 10, 2023 at 3:10 pm

But where do I sell my crafts at besides venders and farmers markets

  48. T lameo on July 10, 2023 at 3:11 pm

    Electric wire staple

  49. Dave P on July 10, 2023 at 3:11 pm

Maybe you would be more successful if you used the correct number of stripes on the flag. Or maybe it isn’t a us flag?

  50. Balazs Fodor on July 10, 2023 at 3:11 pm

Do you post any of your videos on Rumble?
