  2. anoother on June 5, 2023 at 12:26 pm

    what’s a breadboard?

  3. Steven B on June 5, 2023 at 12:27 pm

    That made it

  4. Kurt Kellerman on June 5, 2023 at 12:28 pm

Perfect. Now the bread crumbs have a spot to get caught up in

  5. smallworld on June 5, 2023 at 12:31 pm

    Looks 10x better, Awesome work

  6. Jake Birkmaier on June 5, 2023 at 12:34 pm

Definitely would’ve used a bearing guided chamfer bit here on the two pieces separately.

That technique doesn’t leave a lot of room for error, good job lining it up.

next time add a sacrificial piece of wood to prevent tear out. but the v groove adds a great look.

  8. XXX on June 5, 2023 at 12:39 pm

    Nice detail

  9. pedro jimenez on June 5, 2023 at 12:39 pm

What’s the name of that aluminum rule ?

  10. Aiden Flanagan on June 5, 2023 at 12:39 pm

Where did you get your guide/fence

  11. Joe Cafferata on June 5, 2023 at 12:41 pm

Important point when doing this, make sure the side of the bit closest to the guide is against the direction of travel, otherwise the router tends to want to drift off the fence.

  12. Yonnie Woods on June 5, 2023 at 12:45 pm

What kind of wood is that

  13. Electric Sheep on June 5, 2023 at 12:45 pm

Good timing, have a cabinet that is getting a breadboard due to… ‘choices’… This looks pretty nice!

  14. S K on June 5, 2023 at 12:46 pm

The top groove is added for the same reason as the notch on the side, to allow for the different movements of the timbers end and side grains

  15. Alpenglow123 on June 5, 2023 at 12:47 pm

"Looks an feels great?" It’s a table! How ya gonna clean the food from that groove?

  16. T Rex on June 5, 2023 at 12:49 pm

    I like the flat look

  17. Jeffrey Balaschak on June 5, 2023 at 12:49 pm

Cheap, manufacturers have been doing this since the 60s.

  18. snowboundmage on June 5, 2023 at 12:50 pm

    Eww, inches

  20. LocoDumplin on June 5, 2023 at 12:53 pm

    Sup homie

  21. Brisbane Kilarny on June 5, 2023 at 12:54 pm

It looks great but from my experience building furniture. The food on the table will catch in the groove and be a pain to get out. If a person were to fill the groove with an epoxy that would keep the food out of the groove.

  22. Wood Newf on June 5, 2023 at 12:55 pm

    Nice. 👍

  23. Sean on June 5, 2023 at 12:55 pm

That extra detail does make it stand out, funny how simple touches to wood work give it a little more character.

  24. billiondollardan on June 5, 2023 at 12:58 pm

That’s a good idea. I feel like I should have seen it before bc it makes so much sense

  25. C.R.E.A.M. on June 5, 2023 at 12:58 pm

The measurement edit is so funny.

  26. Tàu Lạ Tàu Lạ on June 5, 2023 at 12:59 pm

Does the V groove also help with wood movement?

  27. David Mm on June 5, 2023 at 12:59 pm

    Not bad looking

  28. lynxybuddy on June 5, 2023 at 1:08 pm

A 53° groove looks much more better

  29. Andrew Farnam on June 5, 2023 at 1:09 pm

    It’s called a shadow line.

  30. Phillip The Third on June 5, 2023 at 1:10 pm

I never thought of this, and I like it. Good idea.

  31. Crafted by Ray on June 5, 2023 at 1:12 pm

    Wow great idea 💡

  32. PhilibeansOR on June 5, 2023 at 1:14 pm

As someone who had the bread board detail on all four sides my dinner table- I vote we change the name to, the crumb catcher detail

  33. tinkmarshino on June 5, 2023 at 1:19 pm

    Yeah.. that does look better..

  34. M Richter on June 5, 2023 at 1:23 pm

I just blew off my screen 😂

  35. Jack Osborne on June 5, 2023 at 1:23 pm

There’s a reason why wooden bread boards are flat. The v grove is a sanitary issue.

  36. Karl Miller on June 5, 2023 at 1:25 pm

    Nice Finishing Touch
