*Works great. For the price this thing is awesome **MyBest.Tools** Rips through plywood no problem. The quick release mechanism to put in blades is great too – very fast and secure.*

What jigsaw blades are better for cutting bamboo? Or should i try some other kind of powersaw?

  10. SpiritWind Vue on May 15, 2022 at 7:33 pm

Very good instruction. However my more specific question is, (and I will have to just use a scrap piece and check it out), Is which is best to cut for the bead board
Decorative board that you cut from the back. I’ve cut quite a bit of it using the clean wood but in my package I am seeing the down cup would but I don’t like the fewer teeth there as much as I do either the clean wood or the scrolling blade.

Wish there was some outstanding citizen award we could give you! Being a single father of two im Superman and Albert Einstein put together in there eyes and honestly couldn’t hold up to the standards owed to that title. Being a father these days is hard enough having both of your children abandoned by there mother’s even worse but my father wasn’t around my older sister taught me how to shave. While most call there father or a grandparent for advice on fixing that leaky sink…. I got you from the bottom of my heart thank you for what your doing! My sister use to say God gives us blessings where we least expect

I will add one tip. Make sure the teeth on the blade are on the correct side when you install it. The first time with my jigsaw I managed to install the blade in reverse (so the teeth pointed to me).

  22. Bill Lowenburg on May 15, 2022 at 7:47 pm

Very Helpful, Leah, as always! I need to cut a foamed polycarbonate corrugated roofing panel. Would you recommend using a plexiglass blade or would the fine-toothed metal cutting blade be better? Thanks so much for your videos. I recently retired from teaching after 37 years and am finding your channel so helpful with my projects. Keep up the great work!

My bright green 580W Kawasaki jigsaw is 5-6 years old and uses an Allen key in two locking screws, front and side.
As with many people it’s not my favourite tool but it works fine…….Fav things to use are Forstner drills and square head screws for Everything…crosshead/Phillips screws if I must…

  29. DAVID SHARPLES on May 15, 2022 at 7:57 pm

A very old jigsaw with allen screws? Mine is an old Black and Decker from the 1970’s,I have to use a screwdriver to change the blade – but it still works well, might have to get it valued as an antique lol.

    Very informative. Thank you

  40. Vasileios on May 15, 2022 at 8:15 pm

Hi, nice video but have a question. The length of the blade is critical? Should i stick to the manufacturer recommendations of 65mm in wood or can i put a longer blade e.g. 10 mm?

  41. Mark Marten on May 15, 2022 at 8:16 pm

I was once told the bigger the wood the bigger the teeth needed to cut it, I would also suggest having a small brush to clean the chuck area on the saw and if possible either use a vacuum facility if your saw has one or the blower facility, either way use goggles and stay safe.

  46. Minecraft Mike on May 15, 2022 at 8:18 pm

Thank you so much for this. Do you need to worry about the length of the blades ?

  47. October Entertainment on May 15, 2022 at 8:19 pm

Your jigsaw IS my jigsaw and I’m glad you made this video because I HAVE been using the wrong blade, to which sometimes the blade would fall out since they gifted my dad that jigsaw along with a pack of u blades. Sounds suspicious now that I see it in writing.I’m going to ask my dad whom gifted him that combo. Maybe I’ll gift them a toaster and a bathtub. lol
