Nice job Andrew, you’re review was very informative, and helped me make my decision!
Festool. Best ones made but very expensive.
Makita 4351ce is slso worth considering. Comes in an identical box to the Festool and can be bought cheaper than the bosch and is probably better made too.
JS470E TOP HANDLE and JS470EB BARREL HANDLE
Which one you think has the edge over the other?
Which one would you go for?
Very expensive and no provision of led light
This is great, then mind was blown when I saw the video clip of your surfboard making. very cool.
i like to think every time he does a blade switch he just launches them across the room. Great review Andrew.
This is the one I use,its low center of balance and better hand placement is second to none!
BOSCH GST 135 CE is even better.
Well presented. I ordered mine about ten minutes ago. Based on this review
I already order my. Thanks for the review..
I just used mine for the very first time. I ordered blades on AMAZON and after a couple of test runs… I was able to trim the bottom of my refrigerator cabinet to accommodate at taller new refrigerator. This thing cuts like butter ! I suffer from neuropathy, and using power tools can be problematic for me. This jigsaw had very little vibration and did not bother me at all ! My only negative is, it is VERY heavy when using it sideways, and takes some effort to keep a straight cut. Thanks for the recommendation and review. I am very happy with my purchase.
First of all Bosch jigsaws is by far not the best I know this personaly
Thank God you didn’t show it in use. We wouldn’t want to see that at all!
*I use this saw regularly and if you actually read the instructions, this saw is fool proof. It makes absolutely straight cuts>>> **allabout.wiki/Variable** set the orbital control on "1" for most cuts. Perfection! Regarding blade retention, I’ve noticed that you need to make sure the blade is fully seated in the chuck. It will work with the bade not fully seated, but you run the risk of the blade falling out. Also, the base adjustment does in fact have a detent for 0 degrees. You pull/push the base plate to engage the 0 degree detent. Overall, great saw!*
Great review, I just ordered mine 😄
Thanks for the review. I’m in the market for a new one and will be considering this one. Thanks again
Does it get hot? I just did like 3 cuts and the hump gets pretty hot
After watching your video i went and bought it. Everything you say is accurate. It works phenomenal. I went from a walmart jig saw to this so just imagen!!! Hahah.. The one thing i did not like about it is that i have small fat hands. The barrel can be a bit uncomfortable for me. A little hard to grab. Im still considering changing it for the one with the handle. We’ll see.
All tools today must have LED light ..this dont have? Makita has LED on all their latest jigsaw because of the shadow cast from the saw causes dark spots at the cutting blade
Great review. Do more.
Hey Andrew…I greatly enjoyed and greatly appreciate your review..you’ve sold me for sure! I have been a professional carpenter, woodworker, renovator, you name it, for the last 50 years…but I am always open to finding out about new tools..I just trashed my Dewalt today…it totally sucked and I have been using it for years..finally it wouldn’t hold the blade any longer. So I thought I’d see what was out there and found your review of this Bosch..had thought about getting the one which sells for about 70 bucks, but I know this is a better one and won’t disappoint. Thanks..
nice i used this tool on 2004 the best
Thanks for making this review. Helped me with my decision.
Can you cut metal with it?
Nice job on the video. I liked your honesty. Festool, by the way is the professional brand. I will be purchasing this jig saw.
Stay Safe.
Marc
Does this work with Collins coping foot?
No, not Festool (although Festool is pricy). You’re thinking the even more expensive Mafell P1cc, which has the same barrel grip design, but accepts a twice as thick blade. Funny thing is that I’m pretty sure most of the Bosch/Mafell accessories for this saw are interchangeable: parallel guide, circle cutting guide, track saw attachment.
How much for this
Very helpful. Thanks!
Very helpful review. I’m sold.
This was first released 10 y ears ago, almost 11 in 2010. Is it even worth it now compared to updated tools.
Great review
Thanks
Dude, excellent review, seriously, you got straight to the point and discussed every feature in-depth without dragging on. Keep up the amazing work!
