*I use this saw regularly and if you actually read the instructions, this saw is fool proof. It makes absolutely straight cuts>>>****  I set the orbital control on "1" for most cuts. Perfection! Regarding blade retention, I’ve noticed that you need to make sure the blade is fully seated in the chuck. It will work with the bade not fully seated, but you run the risk of the blade falling out. Also, the base adjustment does in fact have a detent for 0 degrees. You pull/push the base plate to engage the 0 degree detent. Overall, great saw!*

I Purchased the GST 150 BCE based upon this advert and also a pack of T744 Blades specifically to cut 150mm X 150mm Wood but then discovered that the max depth of cut is only 135mm. I have written to Bosch 4 times now but have not received an answer to my questions yet. I am now looking to take my complaint to the advertising Standards Board because BOSCH are selling goods which do not deliver what their advert says.
My advice to anyone considering BOSCH products should fir Google the abysmal customer service complaints of this company.  You will definitely think twice.

Does anyone know of a Blade that will fit this saw and cut through 150mm wood ?

*I’ve had some time🌗 **** to get used to using the saw now and I think its a good one. It feels very solid and well made – great Bosch quality. I like the settings it has for the eliptical blade movement and blowing dust out of the blade path. The quick blade change lever is easy to use but wont be accidentally bumped. I feel that this is a tool that will last me many years. I was considering the next model up to get the additional blade stabilization, but I think most of the blade flex happens below the foot of the saw anyway were there cant be any support. I think usage technique can make up for most blade flex and you also have to realize that this is a fact of life with a jigsaw and use it accordingly.*

I too bought this jigsaw on the strength of this advert only to find out it is not made in Switzerland as stated. The one I received says made in Hungary. Bosch need to get their act together and stop giving untrustworthy information. I am not a snob by any means but Swiss made gives an impression of quality as opposed to Hungarian made. Check the box before you make the decision to buy this jigsaw people.
