I was wondering where you got the blue piece of your design? The part that accepts the new batteries. I know that the red piece is an older style battery disassembled. But did you say where you got the blue piece? Is it part of a tool that was defective? Or did you take it from a charger? Thanks. Great video.

From what did you get the bottom (dark colored) plate that mates with the lion battery.
Many thanks. Inspiring video for those that don’t or can’t afford to buy all new tools.

Great Job! I loved my 18v bosch tools. Bat-180 batteries. But will never buy them again. Bosch can make a lithium compatible battery I hear but won’t. This time I went with Ridged. So far with the lifetime replacement warranty, I’ve gotten 3 new 18-volt batteries and one new sawzal.Far better deal!! One Bosch battery was selling for $139.00 each

Anybody know any adapters with build in protection? To my knowledge (most) of the manufacturers don’t have actual protection against too deep discharge build in to the pack itself but relies on the electronics in the pack to give a signal to the tool to stop. The reason because it would require quite amount of space to be able to cope with the highest current of any of their tools to they opted to signal to the tool to stop drawing any further. Those old NiMH tools of course don’t have such as draining those packs completely were absolutely fine. So if powering them from LiIon you need such cutoff circuit in the between.
