  8. Robert Butter on November 15, 2023 at 10:30 pm

I was arguing with my boss about this today. Who’s job is it to drive home any pins left proud? The carpenter or the decorator?

  18. Mike Corsmeier on November 15, 2023 at 10:39 pm

I typically use my speed square to do this task. It works great. Just remember… it’s not a speed square, if you have to go and get it !

  19. Barry Macockiner on November 15, 2023 at 10:41 pm

Yea this is true but nobody actually does it, it drives the putty guy nuts!!!

  20. tobymacish on November 15, 2023 at 10:41 pm

If you grab ahold of the nail with pliers and wiggle it back and forth it will brake off under the surface of the wood. No block of wood needed and no pulling needed and no running the risk of it breaking just above the surface.

  21. Gentleman Carpenter on November 15, 2023 at 10:42 pm

On the back of my business card it says, ‘That’s ok, the painters will get it’.

  24. Michael on November 15, 2023 at 10:48 pm

Don’t be lazy period.. f the painters

  25. christhopher lasher on November 15, 2023 at 10:48 pm

Yeah because if it’s new home construction, we’re leaving it. We get paid to paint and fill holes ..if we start pulling nails then the carpenter will leave more and if he has to come back he’ll start to check his work..

  26. Chris Garside on November 15, 2023 at 10:51 pm

    Also we have pincers

  27. Bmo on November 15, 2023 at 10:52 pm

This applies to pretty much everything in life in general, straighten your screws, leave things clean for the next guy etc. Just shows you’re your character.

  28. wizzard game on November 15, 2023 at 10:52 pm

f the painters payback for dropping paint on the floor for th le flooring guys to clean up

Take care of the painters .
The crew just presented me with a huge tub of red vine licorice.
It was my trophy for leaving no nails to set

  31. Anthany Mainka on November 15, 2023 at 10:54 pm

I agree. Try to do this on all my stuff daily at work. If it’s 1 that doesn’t write sure under I knock it out of it’s like this I try to pull it out break off under so can still paint

  32. Aidandur on November 15, 2023 at 10:54 pm

Painters need to know their place on the ladder.

    Electrician
    Plumber
    Carpenter
    Bricklayer
    Painter
    Lanourer

They need to stop bitchin and get back to their painting while the big dogs work โœŒ๏ธ

  36. John Smith on November 15, 2023 at 10:57 pm

Yeah, fuck those guys. They know what spackle is for.
    Sincerely, every carpenter ever.

Just bash it in. Painters come with cock to fill. Unless it’s a chick. Chicks don’t have cock.
    They want it though.
With cock all things are man-splainable.

  40. Carsonktm420 on November 15, 2023 at 11:07 pm
