A few products from this review were sent to me by Banggood for testing.
This does not mean that I do get all my products. I review also a lot of products I bought myself.
I started these reviews because from my experience not every tool from China was worth buying. So I wanted to make in-depth reviews to show you which products you should consider and which product you better leave alone. The fact that Banggood sent me products occasionally does not change the way I make my reviews. I still give in-depth reviews and give you my honest opinion!

On this, you can count on!

I have a good experience with Banggood.com and they have a lot of woodworking tools nicely organized on their site.

I would never buy any Products from a Country that Violate Human Rights and support Putin Killing Civilians in Ukraine. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. andrew thomas on September 12, 2023 at 7:37 pm

False economy. Pollution because they don’t make it using the same standards. Plus they are using it to build up their armed forces Your call

  4. Enzo Rocha on September 12, 2023 at 7:40 pm

I wish China was a better country when it comes to transparency, democracy, and human rights. It would make me feel better supporting their economy whenever I purchase their products. But then again, almost everything is made there now, whether it’s DeWalt, Bosch, etc. So there’s no escaping it—eventually, you’ll buy Chinese made stuff. What a world eh? Turn a blind eye to human suffering so we could get what we want at cheaper prices; who cares anyway? That’s capitalism for you. What a triumph.

So say china tools > wood peckers?

  6. Mark Jones on September 12, 2023 at 7:43 pm

Goodness, people, please try to buy local. US made at the very least.

  7. Luciano Valderrama on September 12, 2023 at 7:44 pm

A WISH SCAM, the notice talks about a toolbox with 799 pieces, when making the payment there is the option of only one piece, it does not clarify or indicate the price or the way to buy all the pieces, choose the one that says a piece understanding that it is a toolbox and that way they sell you only one key, fooling you that you buy the whole toolbox. If they only want to sell a single key, you must indicate in the notice what it does not, they deceive you by saying that they sell a toolbox.

how does china get "insanely low prices" ? is it insanely low labour pay rates and safty standards ??

  9. Back the Badge on September 12, 2023 at 7:47 pm

I am not a fan of tools made in China….Yes they maybe cheaper, but they are made with slave labor to lower the price. The Chinese steal concepts and designs from American Companies like “Woodpeckers”. Cheaper cost is not always the best choice. You always have to ask yourself….Why is it so much cheaper?

I want to tell you my experience with these clamping squares. I purchased the largest size and they arrived but the threaded steel rods were missing. I immediately contacted Banggood to let them know and asked them to send me the threaded steel rods. I sent them a picture of the package showing the threaded steel rods were missing. After a day they responded and asked me to send a video to explain what was missing and various numbers supposedly from the packaging. I sent more pictures but I was unable to send a video. After another day, they responded that I should but the threaded steel rods locally and let them know the cost snd that would reimburse me if the price was reasonable. I responded this was not a solution and asked to return them for a full refund. Waiting for their next redlines. Based on this unsatisfactory experience , I cannot recommend buying these clamoring squares.

  11. Trevor Clapp on September 12, 2023 at 7:49 pm

The problem appears to be availability at the moment (2023). My various tools have been on order from Banggood for over 3 months now with no sign that they will ship any time soon. The only one that has arrived is the pocket hole jig. So if you need to get on with things check stock before ordering.

Would you be so kind to mention what batteries (in detail) are needed for the mini digital protractor. It was not included and it is not mentioned on the instructions. I bought the metallic magnetic mini version with only one battery.

I’m an expat living in China and I looked for the T-ruler on the local shopping websites. The first one I looked at uses your video to show how to use it. Haha! Very professional video editing.

You don’t get it do you, your undermining the original designers products by recommending a cheap copy, you’ve just lost a sub. Y d a.

    Excellent.

How many truly innovative tools come from China? How many are copies of others’ innovative thinking, but manufactured with lower quality?

  24. noodldoodl on September 12, 2023 at 8:00 pm

Happy belated birthday to me for finding your channel, Dennis. I’ve been looking at Chinese woodworking stuff for a while and your recommendations will go a long way in convincing me to buy some. Many thanks and instant subscription to your channel!

How is shipping for you guys?, I used banggood a lot before, but then they changed how they ship items to Norway, so now it’s not tracakble, and the item shows up suddenly on the door at night. And I get the message about delivery when it’s there. Last time I was away for christmas, so I was lucky the item still was there. I think it’s something called migyston they use, maybe that is some local thing?
Do you get it by post or something else?

I have had a digital angle meter for a few years and find it an excellent tool for setting up my saws and also measuring angles for general carpentry. I think you are being a bit overly worried about the accuracy. I don’t believe that many woodworkers are measuring angles to an accuracy of 0.1 degrees.
I have only recently found your channel and appreciate the content I have seen so far. Thank you.

  32. Dick Smith on September 12, 2023 at 8:11 pm

China does make some good products but they’re shipping leaves a whole lot to be desired

  33. Leander Smith on September 12, 2023 at 8:12 pm

You talk is good but this stuff is still made in china, so I think it will work but you never know for how long it will last before it breaks china has a very long way to go, building up SOME confidence.

The idea of finding the cheap replacement for a quality American made tool doesn’t turn me of out of some flag waving patriotism. I’m more against this idea for the reason that is stops US companies from innovating, and providing US based customer service. I pay a premium for woodpeckers because i want to hold them to a very high standard. That’s the unspoken agreement when you buy premium tools, you pay more but you then also demand perfection. Woodpeckers put years of R&D into making these tools and ripping them off creates a market where finding quality tools will be harder and harder. Otherwise well made and honest content

I am trying to get away from buying Chinese – besides lesser quality the idea of sending money to a country that has such a huge human rights violations history that still happens not to mention killing Christians and Muslims . Time to take a stand and stop sending money to that country.

WOODPECKERS—-you pay more, however, you get MUCH more (I have never purchased a Yugo but i have purchased many yankee made vehicles—–the same goes for tools——otherwise your video is informative thanx rick

  43. william morales on September 12, 2023 at 8:25 pm

There is no argument China can produce high quality at insane prices, but they do pay an average of 20 bucks a day which helps a lot.

  44. Captain Ron on September 12, 2023 at 8:26 pm

First time here. Enjoyable and informative. I’ll be back. Thanks.

  45. oldhongkong565 on September 12, 2023 at 8:27 pm

If the 100mm version costs you $22, then you’re being ripped off. These just cost $8-9 in China

  47. Jean-Pierre Declemy on September 12, 2023 at 8:28 pm

Before purchasing cheap Chinese goods just consider the effect they are having on our own industries.
How does China manage to send us stuff with a total cost of less than it would cost to post in the UK?

  48. Dick Smith on September 12, 2023 at 8:28 pm

Well I bought these per your recommendation when I saw that and when I receive the corner clamps or the angle brackets they were not square they were out by a few millimeter and I talk to Bangor and they refunded my money the problem was they sent it in a cheaply packaged paper envelope which It got damaged in shipping

  49. Flying Pussyfoot on September 12, 2023 at 8:30 pm

I legitimately thought he said genitals when he said China tools.

  50. Saw Dust on September 12, 2023 at 8:30 pm

Never buy anything made in China. They steal technology, ignore patents, use slave labor, and have the dirtiest coal fired power plants on the planet.
