    I need to drill 2 holes in a very hard wood desk about 7/8 thick. I think the Brad bit will do it. The twist bit didn’t make a dent. Thank you for the info. Good education.

    Hey thanks for the lecture:
    However I have a question for you if I may:
    Can you tell me what am I doing wrong with my Forster Drill Bits as well as regular wood drill bits while drilling hard woods the all get very hot and starts smoking.
    Is it due to the quality of bits material?
    Is HSS better than regular bits?
