Colin Knecht's Excellent Woodworking Adventure to Kansas City – Woodworking Show/Shop Tour

I was visiting the Kansas City Woodworking Show in January at the KCI Expo Center.
While there, I give a talk at the Lee’s Summit Woodworkers Guild on January the 14th. Lees Summit is about 30 minutes southeast of Kansas City.

Hi Colin, thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed it. I too did not know you are Canadian. What is your home town? I’m from a little village called Eganville in Ontario. I enjoy watching your channel and have learned many new things from you. Thank you again.

I watch a number of woodworking channels. Like many other woodworkers, you build a lot of your shop furniture and accessories. However, you seem to make your own jigs more often than some of the other woodworkers I follow. It also looks like you made your own wooden watch band. I’m going to guess that there isn’t a lot that you haven’t tried to make. So I figured I should ask: have you ever tried to make a hockey stick?

I didn’t realise you were a fellow Canadian. When are you coming to Southern Ontario (London)?

I enjoy the videos and pick up something I didn’t know out of most videos. I inherited some tools a couple of years ago and now have the bug.

Colin, thank you for your wood working channel. Canada is a great place to visit. Here in Australia your videos certainly help me. I am restoring my old timber house.

It was sad to see that your audience was all gray haired folks. The younger generation is not getting into woodworking or many other traditional hobbies.
