Contractor Table Saw R4560 – Tool Review

Contractor Table Saw R4560 – Tool Review

I have been waiting for a contractor table saw upgrade for a long time. Ive had a jobsite table saw for years. Ridgid sent this saw to me for a review. I jumped at the idea because I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this baby for a bit.

It was pretty easy to assemble and came out of the box pretty square.

I’m seeing reviews on the Delta contractor saw. Way too many have been negative. Specifically, the motor burning out in the first year of operation. Is this a a problem with the Ridgid saw motor. My Lowe’s has the delta saws in stock. But Home Depot has been easier to deal with when problems arise.
Thanks for any advice about the Ridgid saw and motor. My reason for looking at this saw is the table top, fence, and the slots are much nicer than the job site saws.
    Thanks

Would have liked some shots from under the saw showing the motor and control setup

  3. Gladstone Williams on February 18, 2023 at 5:33 am

It would be nice to show how to clean off the lubricant on the cast iron top. Thank you 🙏🏾

  4. Dennis Jenkins on February 18, 2023 at 5:33 am

You’ve got some really wonky cameras. Some shots it’s a left tilt, some shots it’s a right tilt and even the names backwards lol. Congratulations on your upgrade, enjoy and cut lots of stuff. P.S. I think if you adjust/raise up your riving knife your pawls may work on thicker material than 3/4, check into it, some saws adjust like that.

  5. Zoran Graham on February 18, 2023 at 5:34 am

Do you know if the fence compatible rigid 4512/4520?

  6. Jimmy Pautz on February 18, 2023 at 5:34 am

Looks like a great saw! This is a clone of the Delta (and is made by Delta for Ridgid) as others have said. I was going back and forth between getting a jobsite vs. the Delta last year, but the price and the availability of getting this Delta fence separately pushed me to upgrade the old 1969 Craftsman 113 contractor saw I got from my wife’s grandpa. (The original fence was terrible and was difficult to keep it square.) I was able to get this excellent fence for $150 and install it on my old saw. The only thing my saw doesn’t have is the riving knife or the dust collection (and I’m hoping to improve dust collection at some point).

I’m glad this saw is working well for you!

  7. Al Espinosa on February 18, 2023 at 5:36 am

    I have the Delta

  8. Daniel Anderson on February 18, 2023 at 5:37 am

    Its a delta

  9. Doug days on February 18, 2023 at 5:38 am

good review… i was looking into getting it , there is a veryy similar model 4520… called the professional instead of contractor.. its about a 100 bucks more, 13 amp motor. rather than 15….which i found odd lol.. and cast iron legs , rather than just a cast top

  10. Gladstone Williams on February 18, 2023 at 5:41 am

How do you clean off the lubricant on the cast iron top. Thank you 🙏🏾

  11. Shane on February 18, 2023 at 5:41 am

What are they assembled dimensions? Particularly, how wide when fully assembled? Thanks 👍🏻

  12. Gladstone Williams on February 18, 2023 at 5:43 am

Did have a separate circuit such as a 20a circuit breaker and receptacle , if you use a extension cord and what gauge

  13. jessie lacson on February 18, 2023 at 5:44 am

Design a good table sled for it you will love it

  14. shawn clark on February 18, 2023 at 5:44 am

I have been trying to decide on a new saw. THIS or the Delta. Both are the same I hear. Delta is cheaper(but why). Anyway, how bout a quick answer. Do you still love the Rigid?

  15. Jonathan Pajak on February 18, 2023 at 5:45 am

Awesome saw, have it and love it!

  16. Fred Astaire on February 18, 2023 at 5:46 am

    beautiful saw!

how do you like the fence? Square on arrival, any issues since?

  17. piyush patel on February 18, 2023 at 5:46 am

it’s a DELTA 36-725T2 available since many years. I have it sine say 3 years. Its a god saw. Good luck with it.

  18. Wordworking by AWV on February 18, 2023 at 5:48 am

Are you still liking it? I have seen other reviews and after a few months people are saying it isn’t good. I recently broke my R4520 and am looking for a replacement in and around this price range.

  19. Ace on February 18, 2023 at 5:48 am

I hope ridgid made some major improvements from the r4512 or whatever it is. I have that saw and have had nothing but problems with it. I have to adjust or fix something twice a week.

  20. Mike Griffin on February 18, 2023 at 5:51 am

Thanks for the excellent review. I have been looking for a relatively affordable upgrade to my job site saw and this is very helpful. I may have missed it but would like to hear your thoughts on the dust collection on this saw. Thanks again,

  21. ColdWarVet607 on February 18, 2023 at 5:51 am

I’e yet to see a table saw whose kick back paws and blade guard did not jam you cut. Almost all that I’ve used actually make the saw more dangerous, induces kick backs, causes burned edges and repeat cuts. The paws either get stuck to the the blade insert, the joint between the insert and table or go right into the insert slot. They are the first thing I remove. You are not the only person to flag the paws, hows the blade guard. Did you align the blades or the knife, how was that process? Thanks for the review darlin’

  22. anthony caldi on February 18, 2023 at 5:52 am

Great Review! I’m considering this Saw to replace my Ridged Job Site Saw. How do you like it after you have been using it a while?

  23. akbychoice on February 18, 2023 at 5:53 am

Guessing this is only able to run on 120 volt and not swappable to 240 volt?

  24. Michael Seamus on February 18, 2023 at 5:54 am

Will this saw accept a dado stack?

  25. Seann Alexander on February 18, 2023 at 5:54 am

Great now I have to buy this.

  26. Stuart McNicol on February 18, 2023 at 6:02 am

Nice review, very thorough! But flip your video, confusing when watching for details.

  27. John Putsch on February 18, 2023 at 6:02 am

Was your rail system and power flipped? I just put my saw together of this exact model and my 30 inch rip is on the right of the blade and power left.

  28. Captain of my Shed on February 18, 2023 at 6:04 am

Does the fence on this have any issues? I know the 4512 certainly did. Great review though.

  29. Scotty Drake on February 18, 2023 at 6:05 am

With the expanded rip capacity I would like to have known if the rails will accommodate a router table insert. Also, does it have a direct-drive motor, or is it belt-driven?

  30. RonBo on February 18, 2023 at 6:08 am

How flat was the surface and how precise is the fence?

  31. Andric Libresinn on February 18, 2023 at 6:09 am

    How is the dust collection?

  32. Cali Valley on February 18, 2023 at 6:13 am

Didn’t mention dust collection, how is it? I have an older craftsman cabinet saw that is terrible with dusk collection.

  33. the on February 18, 2023 at 6:14 am

Datto stack is horrible because you need to rip it at a snails pace

  34. jessie lacson on February 18, 2023 at 6:15 am

Always use push stick lady pls. Thanks your gripper I do better than go to the ER WITH MISSING FINGER

  35. Craig Haight on February 18, 2023 at 6:15 am

Great review, I have an old Craftsman 113 series as well and will be looking to upgrade and I have had my eye on the Ridgid series for a while now.

Question for all you creators, why are there so many videos that have mirrored images in them. I found this very disjointed and distracting to watch with all of the the back and forth between normal reversed images.

  36. Kevin O'Kelly on February 18, 2023 at 6:15 am

This was a great and very helpful review. I just have one comment and that is shop safety. I would hate to see you lose your hair and a big chunk of your scalp if your hair was caught on the revolving blade or on any other machinery. It’s the dad in me. Take care.

  37. Eleven Twelve on February 18, 2023 at 6:15 am

Am I the only one who is annoyed that the fence is on the left of the blade?

  38. Steven Chavez on February 18, 2023 at 6:16 am

Love mine. Only advice I have is to use a heavy gauge extension cord.

  39. Stephen R on February 18, 2023 at 6:18 am

    Why the mirror image?

  40. AC7FD DF7NT on February 18, 2023 at 6:19 am

I had two of these and returned both. Table wasn’t flat more like a bowl. The square tube the fence rides on is two pieces and on both saws, it didn’t line up good enough, there was a bump every time I moved the fence. You might get lucky and get a flawless one, I’m done with these, there’s a reason it’s only a little more expensive than the Dewalt jobsite saw. I bit the bullet and upgraded to the Laguna F2. No regrets.

  41. Doug Fowler on February 18, 2023 at 6:21 am

Great review! Excited to get this saw. I have the DeWalt 745 jobsite and its a great saw. Might still keep that for going off site, but this new Rigid saw is on the Christmas list…lol. Great job.

  42. Toro66 on February 18, 2023 at 6:22 am

Does this have the small flip down fence like the Delta Does that flips down off the main fence?

  43. Steve Walker on February 18, 2023 at 6:22 am

Your video is mirror image… Ty for the review

  44. Randy Marshall on February 18, 2023 at 6:22 am

Have you heard keeping your hands back from the blade and using a push stick

  45. James Troy on February 18, 2023 at 6:22 am

Seems this is replacing Delta, since their similar saw is much harder to get. I don’t ever see the Delta in stock at Lowes. I have the Metabo job site saw with stand still in the box. I think I’m going to sell it rather than open up, use and then sell for the Rigid. Thanx for your review!!

  46. Lance Fuglseth on February 18, 2023 at 6:24 am

Is the table top of your new rigid saw flat. The new rigid saws look like a Delta and you’re lucky to get one of those with a flat table.

  47. Mr. Ken on February 18, 2023 at 6:24 am

0:45 Why is your video reversed, or mirrored in several parts? "RIDGID" is backwards?

  48. NievesDIY on February 18, 2023 at 6:26 am

Do you know if they have the same but without the legs just the tool?

  49. VikingSix on February 18, 2023 at 6:29 am

This sounds like a paid "review"

  50. shawn clark on February 18, 2023 at 6:31 am

Can you make a zero clearance throat plate, and have you?
