Hi Kevin,
I really like the "Inspirational Collector" term… I hope Tyler makes a speedy recovery…
Take care.
Paul,,
I found one for $20 at a yard sale. I like it and it is small and light enough to easily tuck it away for smaller jobs. The only problem I’m having with it is the fence. After you set up the fence to be parallel with the blade by loosening and tightening those two blots in the front but as you start to tighten it, the fence moves slightly to the right. It did help to hold the fence as you are tightening it to the table but it still moves a little, enough to be off about 1/16 or so off which is not desirable. Using a clamp also helps but a little cumbersome. I noticed a hole at the end of the fence and wondered if it serves a purpose. I do have the manual but it doesn’t say anything about that hole. If anyone has any suggestion to keep that fence parallel to the blade, I would really appreciate it.
Tyler looked okay at the end there but I guess that’s B-roll footage. Get well soon Tyler; Kevin can’t be left in the workshop alone for long… Cheers Kevin, I’m always impressed with the things that folks just find in your neck of the woods. Thanks again.
I know the Inspirational Collector feeling. Sometimes you just have to rescue something destined to be trash and give it a second chance… even if that chance is as something completely different!
I have just rescued a very old cast iron tablesaw, motor works, needs some TLC and it will replace my very cheep plastic table saw. Get well soon Tyler. Hope it’s not too serious.
Tyler seems perfect 😂
Oh, cool little saw! I’ve never seen that particular model
My saw is the 10" version of the same thing. 1984 I think. Get well soon Tyler.
My very first saw was this exact model! It’s crazy how much stuff you can repurpose with just a little bit of creativity. Necessity is the mother of all inventions 😀
"Inspirational Collector" – I like it 👍💡🥳
I need a few parts for this exact saw. Need a rip fence and three allen-head screws (I might find those). Mine also needs one of the cranks (the "d" shape was wollered out) Nice vid!
Looks as if Tyler is feeling better. That’s great.
HUGS AND LOVE TO ALL
