Dewalt DWE7491RS Review Summary
Good video and review. Clickbaity title 🙁
You gonna show everybody the anti kickback teeth that come with it?
sht /. now i gotta return saw / then i can watch this
what dust collecter is that?
Can you cut grooves/ rabbets with this?
Just bought this saw, it appears that the motor is loose as the blade will move when you push on the front and back of the blade. You can hear noise as it moves. I’d say it moves 1/4 inch.. If you push the motor itself it moves front to back but not up and down. Is this normal. Thank you
it also has an optional set up for dado cut up to 13/16" wide.
So you can rip a full sized door. Good to know. Doing some research before buying anything.
Its 2020, where can I find a jobsite tablesaw WITHOUT the stand?
Anyone, at 3:39, just to double check: when you extend the fence all the way out, you are not able to slightly lift the fence upward or move it downward? There is no play at all, right? I am debating if I should exchange the saw or not. Mine has some play to it and the fence is a bit off, especially the thin fence in support orientation. Btw I was able to adjust the thin fence, so it works as a support now. It was sagging before / not leveled with the surface of the table. There is this pivoting screw on the hinges, which is also working as a locking pin. Just loosen it and adjust to correct the issue. Thanks
Can you cut dados with it? I was about to buy the 7480 until I found out you couldn’t on that model. Heard you could on this one. Is that true? Thanks.
you should perform cutting plywood sheet 8’x4′ and 3/4" thick, wood section 4"x2", small size section of wood etc.
I’m stoked. Just bought myself this saw for my birthday. I am a total beginner, but I wanted to get a really solid product. I almost bought a Skil table saw for about $230 less, but what is $230 for something as important as a table saw?
I’m a festool guy. This is my jobsite tablesaw.
Very in-depth review. thanks!
Clickbait … The camera person seems to know more about the saw than the presenter …
Throw that guard right in the trash!! All they do is get in the way, just pay attention to what you’re doing !
I bought my DWE7491RS saw 3 days ago on 11-29-19 at a Black Friday sale for $465 + tax. I haven’t had a chance to fire it up and do any cutting yet, but I’ll give you some of my first out-of-the-box impressions. I’ve never had a big need for a table saw as my DeWalt beveling miter saw and my hand held radial saw handle most projects I have, but I’ve always wanted a table saw since my school shop days. I’m on a tight budget so justifying the cost of a top tier contractor grade table saw was hard. I thought I was going to have to limit myself to the much smaller DeWalt 7480 model for $299.99… but I’m sure glad I spent the extra $165 for this model. The difference in features is well worth it. The rolling stand alone is a approx. $260 item if you buy it separately. You don’t have to walk around to the other end in order to open or close the bottom legs.. as was shown in the video above, as they can all be easily opened & closed from the same standing position. The little levers on the bottom legs are for tapping with your foot in order to release the legs’ retention buttons so you can unfold & fold the legs. The Dado blade throat plate is a approx. $32 accessory item… that you will have to purchase separately. It comes with a all metal miter tool. I had no slop in the groves. If you are doing general construction work it will be fine. If you are doing indoor detailed cabinet and trim molding work or small hobby projects you might possibly want something a bit more accurate. The one that came with the saw will work fine for my needs. The wheels are plastic, but look fairly durable.. about like some low-end lawn mower wheels. I may replace them with metal hub wheels later. Should be less than a $15 modification if ever necessary. The box it comes in is big & heavy… about 110 pounds… so handling it by yourself is awkward as the box’s cut-out handles will tear if you are not really careful. I’m a big 300+ pound guy and was able to unload it from my pickup truck by myself.. but having help would have been greatly appreciated. And you will need a 2 wheeled dolly or 4 wheeled rolling cart to move the box about. Once it is mounted on the rolling saw stand.. the saw is easy to move around. I read a lot of reviews, watched a lot of videos, then went and looked at table saws before making my choice. There may be better saws in this price range, but given the bang for the buck you get with this saw and the 3 yr warranty… I suggest you not buying anything else until you have seen them in person and looked them over. This model is pretty impressive in person. The videos don’t do it justice.
I also snagged several DeWalt 10" 60 tooth carbide fine cutting saw blades on sale for $14.29 each. Normally about $35 each.
Someone tell the cameraman to STFU. Leading the other guy like he’s a twelve year old.
"Now how about the guarrrrd? Say you were going to use the full guarrrrd ." XD
Does this saw accommodate dados?
Nice saw
But will it dado?
so i think someone took your video and another video’s audio and made their own. FYI. https://youtu.be/TfWAHa3ERuQ
This isn’t sponsored/scripted at all. Not even a little
You flipped the legs out in the wrong order. First drop the legs closest to the kickstand, then the upper legs, then tilt the saw towards you…away from the kickstand. Then you don’t have to pick up the saw to extend the legs.
Hello friends, a week ago I bought the DEWALT 7492, can anyone recommend me to DADO SET for this saw
I enjoy to-the-point videos without a lot of rambling, great video and very informative!
I like the idea of having the camera guy performing a secondary task of asking questions to keep the speaker/presenter focused, not rambling or guessing what to say next. If I were the speaker/presenter, I’d probably have a list of things to say always at hand.
do the legs that stick out when its in the operating position prove support to the left side of the blade?
I’ve been running this saw hard since late 2013, solid as hell, and accurate. hands down best jobsite table saw made. and best fence design too
What is height of table
Hey guys! I’d like to get my husband this table saw for his birthday. Does anyone know if it can take a Dado blade? Thx
Great video, thanks!
Fire your sound guy. Unwatchable.
Four years later this table saw still popular
I own this saw and like it a lot. There are a couple of minor issues that they didn’t cover. The miter gauge that comes with it is cheap and toyish. I bought a good one for $70 that is probably better than what comes with any saw. Also, even though I have mine connected to a decent dust collection system, a pretty good deal of sawdust (maybe 10%) still falls to the floor. All that said, it’s a terrific saw and mine gets a lot of use.
Sealed the deal on me ordering one! The one from lowes needs to go in the garbage with that shit fence!
Thanks for the review! Really nicely done! I would have liked to know about a few more things: Miter gauge and how good it is, Dado capacity, bevel cut, etc.
How many times does this guy say "So" ?
Can you use a dado blade with this model?
May I ask why not buying unless watching this video?
JUNK -Stay away. The table is out of square with miter slots, the fence cannot be adjusted to 90 degrees, and the one I received the plastic cursor is off by almost 1/4" and can’t be adjusted any further. Don’t waste your money.
How many turns for full blade height lol
When completely folded up what do think the foot print is? 24 by 24.
Best job site saw on the market , I owned one and sold it to buy a saw stop ,I was sold on the blade raise feature on the saw stop pro . I’ve regretted the sale ever since .
Leading the witness!!
Does the fence make 90 degree cuts to the blade, consistently? This would really make the reviews easy!
Look under need the saw. If it still has the cheap fence lock system of the 7480, the weak rails, and the skinny posts the motor and blade ride on, don’t buy it.
I wish it had a rear outfeed table like the other saws do in this class. I was just at Lowe’s checking out some table saws, looking to purchase my first one, and this thing felt super solid. I was also looking at the Kobalt for value, and it has the outfeed table, but I was able to shake the floor model around pretty good…not this one.
Yep, this video convinced me to get one. Thanks!
