Other than the obvious, I can’t wait to get back to the shop to make some centering jigs for my most-used forstner bits. GREAT gift idea!
Great job!
,a cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you……
My adventure with woodworking started with Woodglut.
Excellent project. What kind of saw are you using?
Normally I skip to the end of videos like this to see what is being made but I found this one interesting enough to watch all the way through. Good video.
Super cool Josh!
Genius!
Josh (and anyone doing this type of project with a drill press) – wooden hand screw clamps make it much easier and safer to control small parts. I cut notches in the jaws to grab round parts.
😲 was my face when this was completed. Lol. Awesome creativity 👏. Great explanation on the how with the build process. Thanks for the simple but unique & thoughtful gift idea with 🎄 right around the corner, AGAIN 🤦♂️. (STILL paying for the last few) lol.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩❤🧡💛💚💛🧡❤👍👍👍👍👍👍
OK stupid question. I don’t have a piece of round wood that thick. For me to buy it it would cost quite a boy. You have to have a around inside. I was wondering if I could do the outside square instead. I have some beautiful Especially designed for curving wood that a very kind man gave me years ago. think that would be OK right?
Also I’ve seen videos where they attach the drill to like a makeshift drill press if you know of any videos like that could you tell me maybe Which video is the safest. That’s the only thing I’m worried about it’s safety
Really neat bud!
That is neat.
I wonder if there’s a way to modify it so that it doesn’t come out if you get part of it right and only when you have the full sequence right like a cryptex would.
What size for the drill bits?
How do you come up with this stuff? You are awesome!
As we all know, nothing on You Tube is as easy as it looks. It took me about 8 hours to make one. The plan is to make four for gifts; I expect the others to take about 2 hours each. Thanks for the video!
I wouldn’t use a spade bit into end-grain on the drill press especially without a vice. This would probably be best done on a lathe but would require the lathe and about $400 in accessories.
This was very cool. I couldn’t tell what it was from the thumbnail. I watched out of curiosity, but I wonder if a more descriptive title or description might attract more views since it is a really interesting project.
Pretty cool idea!! 👍🏻
Excellent !!!! 👍
Superstar in the making (I may have said this before lol)
Very impressive.
I love your creativity.
Hi, Josh, cool project. So it’s not really a lock, it’s a container? Because we can see the grain and line it up. Still cool. Just expected a lock and wondering if you have any ideas to turn it into one? Also, a version to store a thumb drive and keep it hidden, please?
That was actually a pretty cool little project mate!! Well done
I know you don’t care. I know nobody cares but I’m gonna go for it now.I’ll let you know how it goes🤣🤣
You sir are a genius! I don’t get impressed often, but you have an amazing talent with ideas and execution. God bless you.
Have you ever made a frame for a window? I still like those light holder things👍.
Schöne Idee. Klasse 👍 😊
Clever gift idea. Thanks!
This was pretty cool. Might try to make these for my nephews.
Great videos and cool idea. Also i subscribed, because you DIDN’T ask me to unlike every other video I’ve ever seen on YouTube.
I have to admit, I couldn’t figure out what you were making. Pretty clever. Nicely done. I doubt I’ll ever go to this much work to give away money but it really is a next level way to do so.
That is a great. I will try these for my kids. Might keep them quiet for an hour before we open presents at Christmas.
That is awesome and beautiful at the same time lol
Another cool project! ..u should make a diy drill press vise or something to hold stuff when using drill press besides ur hand ..had an accident 6 yrs ago and wasn’t pretty
👍✌🖖🥃
What he didn’t tell you is the dowel can NOT be a snug fit it you will tear them apart getting them out..
What an imaginative project. Your skill is amazing.
Love this—very clever. I’m a grandmother and don’t have any woodworking tools. Instead, I’m going to send this video to Santa’s workshop and ask if his elves can make them for me.
Amazing ingenuity. Thanks for posting and thumbs up!
thats cool
Hey i have never seen glue like that, what is it called ? And where can I buy it?
Great idea! I love seeing people actually doing things and creating! Thanks for the share!
Now thats way better than a gift card!
0:53-1:20 is the most satisfying thing i’ve ever seen!
Should title this wood cryptek…
Ahhhh yes!!! The old hammer saw!!!
