DIY Hand Plane Thicknessing Jig – ASMR Woodworking

In this video I make a hand plane thicknessing jig. This jig allows me to achieve a consistent and repeatable thickness when making small parts, kumiko, and inlay.

This thicknessing jig is made from bits of scrap I had sitting around the shop. I used some MDF for the base, HDPE for the runners, and poplar for the guides. I sized it to fit a block plane. This could be sized to work with any type of hand plane.
