Is it possible to get blades that will cut pottery?

  2. Håkan Carlsson on April 17, 2023 at 9:15 am

I really think you should mention it’s a sponsor in the video itself.
I see the hashtag but Youtube changes layout all the time and people watching full screen don’t see it anyway so who knows how that will be interpreted by law. 🤷

If for nothing else, for your own safety 🙏

Its something like this for proxxon? I hate dremel aka "old vubrating dildo Your mama" Proxxon ibs/e much more stable. Sadly there is less interesting add ons but maybe is good for my health..

Can you adjust the depth of the cut iin mm? I want to test a vacuum cleaner and my plan was to cut grooves in a wooden board, each groove should go deeper as the last one. My plan was to put some salt or sugar in the grooves and use the vacuum with the floor nozzle to suck it in and that way i hope i am able to visualize the sucking power of the device. For example if its only able to suck the salt from the first groove its a weak device etc. greetings from germany

  9. Simon Moore on April 17, 2023 at 9:29 am

Hi Chris, how thick will it cut?

  10. Christian Lenz on April 17, 2023 at 9:34 am

Great video, thx. In your video it seems that you really can tighten the tool but when I do this, I still can rotate the case where the blade is inside. Is it the same for you?

Would it be big enough to cut panels out of plasterboard to install switches or sockets?

I have made my first blue bird house. I’m not talking about a box you nail to a post with a slanted roof. I’m talking really ornate bird houses. A skill or table saw is perfect for 1- 3/4 inch wood, but some of the wood I use is bass wood and millimeters thick — I needed something I could control. I use wood shingles for doll houses to apply to my roof. I made a cupola for the roof line…it was here I started running into difficulty. I tried to use a manual miter…takes forever and difficult to control. I tried a small hand saw…takes even longer. I was bummed about my new hobby because I needed something that "I" could handle and kept thinking, surely there is an answer. I had tried to use my Dremel tool with a cutting wheel, all it did was ‘burn’ the wood as it cut…not optimal. It could be I needed more RPM, I think my tool only turns 20000 and I read you need to have 35000 to cut wood.

I think I have just made my next purchase! This is EXACTLY what I am looking for!

    Good video, very helpful.

Hi Chris. Sorry, this might be a bit of a novice question, but what would be the advantages of using this instead of the cut off wheels that already come in the kit? Can it do things that the cut off wheels can’t? And can the cut off wheels do things that this can’t?

  19. scottrusling on April 17, 2023 at 9:54 am

Hi, do u have the ability to adjust the depth of the cut? I can see this as being great for guitar fret slots, but would like to control depth. Cheers Scott

Gotta love a cool Dremel attachment. 👍

  21. Skoek1 on April 17, 2023 at 9:57 am

Hi. I have just got a new Dremel 3000, 3rd dremel I have had. I have used the saw before several years ago but with the new dremel 3000 it swivels on the end and there seems to be nothing I can do to stop it. It actually feels dangerous as when I was giving it the 2 minute run in, the whole attachment was spinning around!!! I tried my old mini saw and it did the same as the one I purchased a day ago. It almost feels like it needs a rubber washer to hold it in place. Has anyone else had similar problems?

  22. DEE on April 17, 2023 at 10:00 am

Hello, just wanted to know if the blade gets a perpendicular cut or is the dremel tilted ? Seems like it wont be able to get close enough.

  23. Slim S on April 17, 2023 at 10:01 am

Do you think this min saw can cut a plexiglass please ?

  24. Rebecca Sue on April 17, 2023 at 10:02 am

I use mine for dollhouse work. Unfortunately, I just tried to cut 3/8" mfd and it wouldn’t go all the way through. Big Bummer!

Hi! Could you please answer about limits for cutting?
Can you do cutting limit 1 mm or 2 mm?
    Thanks 🙏

  27. Artur Brzozowski on April 17, 2023 at 10:08 am

"What a cute little saw" I thought until I reminded myself how fast this cool can spin.

    Dangerous weapon!

  28. Felicia Bauer on April 17, 2023 at 10:08 am

Works fine, until it doesn’t. Used on 1/4" ply and went through blades VERY quickly. Also had a difficult time removing the screw to change blades after they became rapidly useless. Longer term, this attachment is not as useful as it first appears to be.

  29. Kathrene Hewett on April 17, 2023 at 10:10 am

How do your take it off. I cannot figure it out.
