I liked the last one the best.
I’m going to use mica powder eyeshadow
I imagine that a clear coat would really make these "pop".
I’m just learning how to use a Drimmel for inlay, so can you do close-ups of the bits you use? Thank you! I learned a lot!!!
What about dyeing wood dust them mixing it with glue for an inlay?
The two greatest inventions of all time: The Dremmel and Duct Tape.
hi, did you mix the resin with hardner as well or just the paint and resin?
Hi, this was really informative as I’m beginning my first inlay project on a small music box I’m making but was unsure of a couple of things. Really nice! Question though…what is the router piece called? I think it would help what I’m doing but I couldn’t tell what you called it? Thanks!
Fantastic! I will definitely give this a try! Which Dremel model are you using here?
Sorry but I can’t help but picture Woody Allen narrating this video. Good video though.
Nice!
That was Beautiful, The last one with Sparkles was great, I have some Polyester resin in my garage, I’m gonna try it.. I’m gonna have to look around for coloring for the resin..
What was the "C A Glue" on the first two ? I never heard of it, but I noticed it sanded off the top nicely.
What also works well is mixing the paint with 4F pumice.
I didn’t get what’s the material for the last inlay, anybody can tell me plz?
You remind me of Stan lee your like the Stan lee of wood working
Anyone ever tell you that your voice sounds like Henry Winkler? The Fonz!!š
instead of using a printed image and the scoring method to transfer the image… i found it’s much easier and much more effective to use single layer carbon paper. you’ll still want to print an image to lay over the carbon. but you basically use the same technique a tattoo artist wood to get a stencil for a tat.
this link shows something interesting about it:

That’s really cool. A knife handle with a design inlay would look pretty cool. Thanks for sharing the technique.
I’ve been doing turquoise inlay for 3 years now and the mistake I see is rubbing the stain over the turquoise after sanding it out. I take a small art paint brush and apply the stain around the edge of the turquoise. You dye the turquoise darker when rubbing stain over it. The turquoise will remain a more brilliant, natural color if you don’t rub the stain over it. I haven’t done brass inlay but it looks you’re doing the same, dying it darker by rubbing stain over the top. Otherwise good info.
Hey, great video, I was wondering what the tool you use to cut the majority of the image out is called, I am wanting to try wood work myself.
Great tutorial!
I swear there’s nothing you can’t do if you’ve got a dremel and superglue lol
Is that Sol Rosenberg I hear? š But seriously, great video. Thanks!
Very Cool, I can’t wait to try this technique on some of my canes and walking sticks along with the knife scales that I make for sale. Thank you for your time.
Thanks for sharing..
Chiseled work is crisper. And the word "idea" has no "R." šš¤š

wow – thank you – how inspirational š
this was a great tutorial on inlay work, especially love the last medium with the sparkles. I did all kinds of inlay on Native American " style " Flutes that I made for about 12 years, it’s really fun and adds a great POP of color. One tip I can offer on getting clean, crisp lines though, is to glue on your template just like your doing now, but instead of using the Exacto blade to trace around the circumference, try using a really fine tip on a wood burning pen. That way, you get sort of a stop cut as in carving, as well as a nice, black edge around the finished design, then you can either clean out the waste using the Dremel as you are, or you can do it by hand with a very small chisel as well. Good luck and hope this helped ?
Im sorry , but that really is the worst looking inlays on you tube… not good work.
Some cool ideas. The last one is the way I do all my stuff.but I always use carbon paper then just draw around the image .plus I use a flexible cable in my dremel, just makes things easier..I’ve never tried inlay work but iam going to give it a go..cheers

I notice all using inlay powder work on UNFINISHED pieces of wood. I am trying to replace missing inlay on very nice little Indian elephant leg table. How do I protect the finished wood
Will epoxy work instead of super glue?

a cnc with a small bit could make some really cool designs. and then inlay them with the resin. I’ve done this type of inlay work on some of my bowls that I have turned
Iām building cajon drums and this is something I need to do.
hi, can you please tell what C.A glue is? never heard of it before. Thanks
With an epoxy inlay, you could use a router on the backside of the workpiece until you just kiss the back of the inlay and add light behind the inlay
my heavy cocaine use in the 80s makes spreading the crushed turquoise easy as a line, I mean pie…..
Why didn’t you just clear coat it so the image would pop out at you, just a thought
