Easy Wood Turning Lathe Projects

Easy Wood Turning Lathe Projects

The amount of turning kits out there can be daunting, and so many require special hardware or bits to use. The kits I like to turn use threaded inserts to mount hardware to a handle, or have a tang that can just be epoxied into the handle you turn. There are TONS of kits available in this fashion and they’re a great way to make some really fun and useful projects on the lathe while you build up your tool collection and skills.

You know there are female crafters, right? Maybe try focusing on actually sharing useful information for your audience, not how many dick jokes you can find.

The Amount of innuendos made me check if I was still on youtube and hadn’t ended up on Reddit

  5. Dave Potts on October 9, 2022 at 2:49 am

Poor humor…. Once is bad enough…. To have a dozen or more just shows weakness.

  6. dunesII on October 9, 2022 at 2:50 am

    @3:22 "while you watch me play with my wood"……………………………priceless ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  7. tangobravo on October 9, 2022 at 2:52 am

Great footage and nice techniques, but the incessant sexual innuendo is completely not needed and detracts from the great work you do.

  8. Another Snake on October 9, 2022 at 2:54 am

Aren’t you suppose to roll up your sleeves first?

  9. Andy Hill on October 9, 2022 at 2:54 am

So glad I screened this before watching it with my daughter. Didn’t finish. Came to learn, not listen to your constant dick and sex jokes. Grow up.

Thank you for this video. I’m studying the Buddha’s Satipatthana Sutta and he uses an example of a turner and turner’s apprentice knowing when the do a long turn or short turn. Your comment around 6:10 really helped my understanding!

  18. Morgan Calvi on October 9, 2022 at 3:05 am

Too late to avoid a dirty thing (5:29)…one occurred at 3:23 when you said ‘while you watch me play with my wood…’ and the handle was a sex toy shape…lol. Maybe poetry isn’t your forte if you want to avoid dirty mind things.

  19. MdStormChaser on October 9, 2022 at 3:06 am

Awesome video, and I could only imagine where your comments end up having a few beers!! 😂😂

  23. Alamyst2011 on October 9, 2022 at 3:07 am

Just bought a lathe today. Watched this video a few weeks ago and it sparked my interest. Already turned one worthwhile bowl and a few handle blanks. Incredibly fun.
Just started making 5×5 x 36 blocks with ash, cherry, maple, oak and poplar. Letting the glue set now. Going to make some colorful table legs

  24. Joe on October 9, 2022 at 3:08 am

Interesting…I wonder, do the scotch pads actually _remove_ material?

  34. Marcos Barrera on October 9, 2022 at 3:20 am

You just make too many sexual innuendoes for me. I get it, it’s funny when you know someone and you’re both joking. I’m just tryin to learn to use a lathe. Once or twice would be funny but you just kept going with it.
Ima keep looking for someone to learn from ✌🏽

  35. stephen marshall on October 9, 2022 at 3:21 am

Total Boat really needs to issue a 25% off coupon. We older craftsman need help from this terrible inflation.

  37. First Name Last Name on October 9, 2022 at 3:23 am

Ok this is the first video I’ve seen on this channel, and I have to ask. I don’t just have a super dirty mind do I? This is intentional right?

  47. Grant Millard on October 9, 2022 at 3:34 am

Heya! Just saw this video. The content was great but the childish jokes didn’t make me want to subscribe. Reading the comments I saw a good deal of similar feedback and your replies suggesting this wasn’t and wouldn’t be your usual style. I’m going to subscribe and hope to pick up some tips and ideas from your videos moving forward. That tip about sanding along the grain between grits to smooth out scratches was a good one. Thanks for that! Cheers.
