Easy Woodworking Projects. DIY.
Easy Woodworking Projects. DIY.
In this video I will show how to make a light woodworking project with your own hands. This project is a computer desk. To make this project, I took a pine tree, cut it into slats and made a table cover out of them.

Что за проект?
No offence to you my friend as I like most of your work but I think the time has come where I may need to unsubscribe all the youtubers who are doing identical projects or where the end result is not that great because they did not sand the wood down enough. Don’t worry, you will not be one of those people I unsubscribe.
Are these guys copying from each other? Perhaps they are, or could it be coincidental or perhaps as the saying goes, "Great minds, think alike." Do they?
What is the answer? How about you be the judge and let me know.
During the past 10 days, I have seen four tables identical to this one being made. In design, materials used, and the process to get the end result. They differed in size, even their use but never the less, they were the same tables. It’s not just the designs being copied. I wonder if you would agree? Read on further.
Here are my findings.
1. This video as a whole would be perfect if it were not for the opening music track. It is being played to death by so many other youtubers that it drives me insane. The other soundtracks used in this video are great, just like your work.
2. About 10 days ago, I watched a guy from Poland make this same style of table for his daughter to use, even the way it was put together was identical. He used wood from his waste bin and from the floor. He prepared the wood as you did, even assembled the table exactly. The colour varnish looked identical only he administered it using a fine brush. One good difference between the tables that I liked is that the other guy placed a sheet of glass over his as the table was much to big, the size of a large coffee table. Other than that they are perfectly identical looking. Coincidental? I wonder!?!?!
3. Then on Friday I watched another similar table being made by another guy in the USA. He did not use offcuts but wood cut from an old bench that came from his garden after he dismantled it. He put 2 planks through the thicknesser then cut them into strips and finally into small blocks of different sizes. Same process same assembly, same glue. His table was identical looking, although he used a rubicon clear coat over the whole project. Slight difference with design was, the legs were ever so slightly different. He routed a very thin line down the length of each side of each leg giving it a Georgian look. Have you seen this video or table?
4. Then yesterday the same table made by yet another guy in the USA, using off cuts from his waste bin. Same preparation, same process same glue, but he used a black appoxy resin from total boat to fill in the gaps or spaces. Then after sanding the top he added a coat of rubicon sealant from total boat and finally a micro coat specially designed by Black Tails.
It’s not just woodworkers but even the off grid people all copying one anothers work, tips or inventions.
If people were copying my work, then I don’t know if I would feel honoured or proud that others liked it enough to copy it or feel cheated because they have no vision or inspiration of their own. No matter how you look at it, its stealing work belonging to others. What do you think?
👏👏👏👍👍
And why were they glued together in two steps, and not immediately for the entire width of the part?
I like your projects, but the screaming music during the glue up made me mute it. U usually use calm music without lyrics. Please go back to that. I don’t enjoy muting you.
Great job
salut bon mercredi soir 🙂
If you put ❤ in doing your job , becomes perfect in the eyes of the learners, love woodwork 👌
In this style you young man already did something like a chair,so l guessed what it would be. Cool !
I ENJOY THE VARIETY OF PIECES ON YOUR CHANNEL.😉😉
OOOOOHHHHH!!!! It is a TV Tray or Lap Desk. I thought it was a bench at first… Your Title should explain Exactly what you are building so I don’t WASTE my time watching something I am not interested in Building.
Please bring out more of your body my friend
Great
