In 40 years your the only other guy I’ve seen use two scribes to prevent tearout. 👍 I have a 100% no tearout on doors I’ve been doing this for years.

stop using a hardwood rip blade to cross cut plywood and you wont have to do anything but set the blade height correctly. the blade is the most important part of the machine. learn about what blades are the right blade for the job. there are many different types.

  20. Karl Pedersen on January 15, 2022 at 11:50 pm

The way you put that throat plate on with double sided tape is NOT smart that could of hit you pretty hard that plate is fine but raising the blade into the plate with just double sided tape is not a good idea your putting pressure upward and the blade is spinning towards you and your relying on just double sided tape please people don’t make throat plates like this

How about using the right blade for cutting plywood

  24. Blair M on January 15, 2022 at 11:54 pm

If you’re getting tear out on your plywood, you’re using the wrong blade.

Plus why do you need to get so close to the blade???

I’ve fired people for doing that.

So many commenters here are mistaking the crosscut blade in this video with a rip blade. The angled grind on the teeth clearly shows that blade in use here is a crosscut blade! Missinformation on this subject can be dangerous.

Can you do a video on all the ways to do a dado joint?

    Table saw
    Dado blades
    Router table
    Hand held Planing tools

And any other way I am not aware of

  33. Thomas Kirkpatrick on January 16, 2022 at 12:03 am

Try a zero clearance insert in your table saw, then you can forget all those tricks.

  34. Nunya Bisness on January 16, 2022 at 12:03 am

Sooo… tape. Because unless you are Rocket, everyone has tape.

  35. Chris Dernovich on January 16, 2022 at 12:04 am

Blade choice, finish side up on table saw and micro adjust fence …. a tiny fraction out of parallel will cause tearout no matter what you do.

Cut half the depth on each side problem solved no fiddling around with tape etc!. I’ve always cut half the depth and it’a always clean.

Jeżeli jest tarcza przystosowana do danego materiału to takie zabiegi nie są potrzebne. Chyba że tniesz płytę wiurową z laminatem a nie masz podcinaka. Tak że ameryki nie odkryłeś…

Put the proper blade on and they work great 🤷

  44. 93Crusher on January 16, 2022 at 12:14 am

Wow…. just use the right blade. A cheap crosscut blade will work better than a ripping blade for plywood

Мало кто знает , что есть диски для чистого реза( они ещё прикинь риски не оставляют) , лучше поставить быстрый рез зубов на 40-50 и херней страдать….
