This wood slab was supposed to become a large desk. But when the client backed out, we had to change directions…and turned it into something much better…and “bigger”.

Wow, first time watching one of these videos. Couldn’t tell if I didn’t like him talking all the time or not but by the end of it, his talking had me hooked. Great video

  2. ArtWerxDallas on October 25, 2023 at 9:39 pm

I follow your channel because You do talk all the way thru. Thanks for the videos. You could be an Audible Book Reader on a Podcast. I’d still listen. Don’t shut off yourself

  3. Andrew Ruckdeschel on October 25, 2023 at 9:42 pm

    there’s a mute button!

  4. Outdoor Therapy on October 25, 2023 at 9:42 pm

Does anyone know where I can get American Walnut slabs in QLD Australia? I paid $400au from Carbatec for one piece yesterday, enough for some draw fronts. I love it but need to be able to afford enough for this kind of project.

  5. Steve M on October 25, 2023 at 9:45 pm

    Outstanding!

  6. Shawn Staley on October 25, 2023 at 9:45 pm

  7. Devin Comiskey on October 25, 2023 at 9:45 pm

Did you start the project without taking a deposit?

  8. aviator775 on October 25, 2023 at 9:46 pm

Love the design and how elegant it came out, although I was a bit bummed to see so much of the slab cut down.

  9. Aj Guinto on October 25, 2023 at 9:48 pm

just wanted to say i appreciate the voice overs all the talking actually makes a difference, that being said might turn on the one without as some background ambiance lol

  10. Christopher brightman-white on October 25, 2023 at 9:48 pm

Don’t stop talking. Your voice is as important a part of why your videos work as the joinery

  11. Golom Matthew on October 25, 2023 at 9:51 pm

  17. Justin on October 25, 2023 at 9:58 pm

wow, i had no idea. I can just get a CNC machine instead of a planer and have tons more uses for the space it takes up?

  18. Gustavo Grullòn on October 25, 2023 at 10:00 pm

Confieso que te puse en "mute"…

  21. David Phantastic7 on October 25, 2023 at 10:08 pm

how many layers of epoxy are you pouring. So confused with your video. and shutup. btw your work is great especially with cutting angles with the table saw. I’m a newbie, but when I need to purchase a planer, you better start sharing some serious woodworking poopoo

  22. Joan Fornal on October 25, 2023 at 10:12 pm

  29. Philomena Hearn on October 25, 2023 at 10:18 pm

As someone who is constantly looking for modern/Asian themed furniture….I really like this piece. The ends of the table remind me of a torii. Thanks for sharing!

I dont like boring videos with no talking,if I want to hear saws or music i can do that anytime. If you stop talking I’d say un shut the f#ck up! keep em coming!

  34. Aryan Mayor on October 25, 2023 at 10:23 pm

How come you dont use the quick drying epoxy all the way through? Does it not set well in thicker pours? And how is the adhesion between the different kinds of epoxy? Is that something you have tested out?

  35. Preacher Lyle on October 25, 2023 at 10:23 pm

    Radio voice lol

  36. Matt Pritchard on October 25, 2023 at 10:25 pm

    keep talking, brother

  37. Jara Jaros on October 25, 2023 at 10:25 pm

I enjoy the non-stop narration. The tips and other bits of insight are informative and occasionally you’ll throw in something humourous as well. If people prefer background music or silence, there’s a volume control toggle.
For me, I enjoy your videos just as they are.

  38. Errol Pereira on October 25, 2023 at 10:25 pm

    Thank you for this!

    Signed Super Fan

  39. Robin Dikos on October 25, 2023 at 10:26 pm

THERE IS A VOLUME CONTROL … RIGHT? USE IT !!!

    Outerknown Shirts are the best!

  41. Verna Badenhorst on October 25, 2023 at 10:28 pm

Wow! This coffee table looks amazing! You are SO skilled! You shouldn’t put yourself down like you do in your videos. You are very talented and the pieces you make always inspire me. Don’t listen to what other people say. I love the sound of your voice and I really don’t think you talk too much. I have 2 questions though: what pencil (not the mechanical pencil) do you use in your work, and what is that black gooey stuff you use to fill the holes? I really love your work. It’s very inspiring. You will never know how much you change beginner woodworkers (like me’s life) and provide ideas and inspiration. I’ll always watch your videos

  42. Ethan van Drimmelen on October 25, 2023 at 10:30 pm

Listening to your commentary is my favorite part of the 4 Eyes YT Channel experience. Just sayin.

  43. Christopher Schwalbe on October 25, 2023 at 10:30 pm

I like the talking! It is nice to hear your insights and you have a great speaking voice. Keep it up!

How much this guy talks…annoying AF

  46. John M on October 25, 2023 at 10:35 pm

Keep talking, that how we learn. You are a great teacher

  47. James on October 25, 2023 at 10:36 pm

Such wisdom and self reflection came from a comment on YouTube telling you to shut up. It really shows the type of person that you are.

  48. Mike G on October 25, 2023 at 10:36 pm

I just came across your channel recently myself and I think your work is great as is the presentation. I truly feel like I learn something in every video I’ve watched and enjoy seeing beautiful projects come to be. Amazing. I feel like I’m being educated in a classroom. Don’t shutup please. Screw ’em if they don’t like it

  49. Ellery A. O'Darrah on October 25, 2023 at 10:37 pm

It’s hard to believe that people would take the effort to try and silence you then to turn off the volume if it bothers them. I love your voice and your illustration of your work.

  50. JIM MCPHERSON on October 25, 2023 at 10:37 pm

I had this idea in mind. Then I saw your video. Thanks for the plans too. I always enjoy your videos.
