Looks like it’ll be a good addition to the tool box. Question; does hazel lighten up substantially once dry? As I mentioned, I cut a few sticks in February. They are about the size of a pool que. Yours are more robust than the ones i cut. Only four months drying, not feeling a noticeable decrease in weight. I’m sure this miserable heat will speed the process. The wood I use is primarily Yaupon Holly. It’s crazy heavy. Can’t imagine up sizing to a larger diameter and the stick being comfortably light. The Hazel "starts" I purchased won’t ship until November.
