Homemade height gauge for circular saws and routers

Homemade height gauge for circular saws and routers

Homemade height gauge for circular saws and routers

I made a height gauge to use when adjusting the blade height of a table saw or a router.
The accuracy is limited to 0.1mm because it is an analog memory, but the height of the blade can be adjusted with an approximate accuracy.

I think I would add a couple of magnets to the bottom to hold the base when adjusting heights on the table saw, And maybe just to verify the accuracy of the unit, have it measure on of the setup blocks.

Precision tools should never be made out of wood or plastic, especially if they are used on sharp blades from table saws and routers.

Hi there I adress to anyone that knows, to tell me what kind of wood is this black thick piece of wood that is used to make the Homemade height gauge for circular saws and routers. Thank you in advance

  33. Talley Sue Hohlfeld on October 18, 2022 at 4:05 am

I’m interested in how he is able to cut small pieces using a circular saw; i really didn’t thing that was possible. And then double-sided taape to hold small pieces for routing…and that little vise unit for holding small pieces…

This opens whole new vistas for me.

Dear JSK Koubou, this is late question/response: Do you think this lathe-router system can be used to make a wooden threaded rod??

  46. Evert Kleynhans on October 18, 2022 at 4:16 am

I need some of the double sided tape that you use. I’m in South Africa and all the hardware stores only have the thicker foam based tape. Do you perhaps have a brand name or link to the tape?

  47. budiana marco on October 18, 2022 at 4:18 am

The more I watch of your videos, the more I’m impressed with you craftmanship.
Excuse my lack of knowledge but what’s the essence of wood you are using (the quite hard looking one) ?

    Thank you
