Wow, you must have really had the inspiration bug. I have an older saw though it is even older than yours and just as much a piece of junk though it does get the job done. But I think i would have just gone out and bought a new saw. I really like what you have done though and I am planning on upgrading mine to a new top at least since the miter slots are junk. Thanks for the banggood link to the miter T-Slot. I saw one on amazon that was about twice the price so think I might order a couple.

Now, that you have done yours do you have any suggestions to getting the miter slots parallel with the blade?

Thank you for this – I bought pretty much the same table saw as it was all I could afford, but it is truly sub par – the top was warped out of the box and for now I just put a sheet of MDF over it, but really wanted to rebuild – your solution with cutting out the mounting point from the old top is brilliant, as I was wondering how I was going to mount it under the new table top I want to make.
It seems I didn’t buy a table saw, just a motor and motor housing (at least it is a 2HP motor and a 10" blade 🙂

You didn’t make a mistake Willy , you just allowed for the table top to shrink 😁

We can just call that a adjustable T track. 😉

OMG!!! Perfect and exactly what I needed. You did a fantastic job of going over all the measurements, what to use for router guide (brilliant just using the t-trak) and also how to make the cut. Btw, I never comment but was compelled to tell you what a great job you did here. Thank you for spending the time creating this video!!! 😁😁😁
