Hey Jason, just wanted to say Thank You! I’m just getting into woodworking and absolutely love your channel. Congrats on your success. You’ve certainly earned it and people like me greatly appreciate the knowledge you share in your videos. The quality of your footage/editing and sense of humor make your channel hands down my favorite woodworking YouTube channel – not to mention your skill level! #keepmakingmoney

Great video. I’m a business owner right now but it’s sales based. I’ve been great at it and the business was booming all the way up to Covid.

The business has survived but is a shell of itself. While I don’t want to just stop doing business I do feel a calling to do work with my hands specifically wood work and furniture building as it’s something that would be personal and a measure of my attention to detail.

I too am without child at the moment and considering adoption.

This video did help at least 1 person and I want to make sure you know that.

    God bless!

Good video, just making one of these with the same MRMDF. could you tell me which varnish you find suitable for the top please? Didn’t really think about a finish until I watched your film. Looks good the the trim too, think I will be adding this to mine. Cheers Rich.

The most important question is. Do i need a beard to be a woodworker ?

Great add for squarespace, but I think you just went a bit too far. Yes, you should mention they are paying and sponsoring the video and then let the people know that you actually built your website on squarespace to start your bussiness. You should spend more time talking about other stuff like the actual shop growing or the struggle to keep up with more work or the struggle to get more new clients if you have faced it. Maybe a bit on how mouth to mouth has been great for you to get new clients or how youtube has given you more credibility or clients or work to do.
I love your videos, but I was expecting something a bit more "woodworking bussiness insider". As it has always been.

They don’t pay you enough to make something like this to your image, but even if it was horrible, I still like your work and content.

You thought you would be an accountant or bank manager when you were a kid? Most kids want to be something like Spider-Man or Batman I don’t think little kids even know what an accountant is. Or a bank manager.

I would do exactly what you do…but since my hip replacement, there’s no way I can dive onto tables or slide around the floor or any of that stuff.

Your family is beautiful, I love when you include them in your videos! Your son is so freakin cute! I am a father of 4 and totally get it. Woodworking comes second to these little rascals! Love your stuff brother, keep up the good work!

I‘m an accountant and I think your profession is really cool

  19. mike coughlin on February 26, 2022 at 11:18 pm

I noticed in the photos of your earlier work you had metal accents on several pieces. That’s what I want to build, metal/wood combo pieces. Could you feature some of your metal work in a video occasionally? Not necessarily an entire video but show us how and where you fit it into your woodworking.

Hey dude, I have a chair I want to sell but nervous people would copy it … is it worth getting a patent/copy right?

  26. Danny Morton on February 26, 2022 at 11:26 pm

I appreciate your story and your channel. I’ve been an amateur wood worker my whole life, and now that I’ve passed 40, the thought of working for corporate America for the rest of my life makes me want to curl up and cry. I’m really trying to find the courage to start a wood working business. This video helps the push in that direction. Keep up the good work man. Thanks for sharing your story.

Your videos are the best I’ve seen. This is amazing. Thank you for sharing your story. I really appreciate this. It makes a lot of things sounds so much more attainable. I have the same reason to learn to build and it’s crazy how many of your videos I’ve saved as reference for pieces I’d like for my new home. Thanks again. Keep doing what you do. You are quite the artist.

I always found your videos both educational and filled with humor, I like your fun way of presenting your projects and tips to people on YouTube and thus keeping us all both focused and entertained throughout the entire video. However, this video in particular touched me and I REALLY like the fact that you sat down and explained how well and in a clever way you managed to get from the 0 point to where you are right now and make it in a world of woodworking! Very interesting and inspiring story mate. Salutation from Europe 🙂
