I can’t see if the bevel is facing down, away from the "cap iron", or facing up towards it. It seems to be both at different times in the video.
Learned nothing, except to search for other videos
Woodglut scripts contain most of the woodworking plans you can find.
This time I will do it manually with the help of Stodoys designs.
Very clear instruction. Thank you.
I use Woodglut plans for all my joinery. Google and try it out.
Is that really called a "frog" plate? Anyway, thanks for the vid, now I can safely store my plane by retracting the blade completely.
what happens when the adjusting wheel is too difficult to turn? nice video
Great to see it. I did it too. The plans from Woodglut helped me a lot π
Just go to Stodoys if you want to know how to do it yourself.
Sikana, thank you for the tutorial. Iβm new to woodworking and was adjusting my Stanley 4 plane wrong. Works great now. π
Um, no I haven’t learnt how to adjust a bench plane. I have learnt how to pull one apart and reassemble it but I still know *nothing* about how to adjust the blade to the chip breaker and what sort of clearance the blade should have below the edge of said chip breaker.
Thanks for the homework answers ππ½
