my piece has been turned cannot turn it back
ronald bondon January 8, 2023 at 2:36 am
The problem I had was the mounting post was out of position… with the close up view of the slot in the mounting post position as seen in the video, I thought a screwdriver blade might help me turn it to the mounting position….. it worked. Turned it to the mounting position, inserted the blade, place it on the post, pushed it up to the cutting position and click, locked in the cutting position….. poor pre-shipping inspection. What a pain and a lot of miles driven to two closed repair centers after being referred to them.

Not able to turn oval shaped thing so in right position to put blade in. Tried with screw driver and it won’t budge. Tried holding various other buttons at the same time as turning screw diver, but no good.

Hi! Help needed. Bought this a couple of years ago and had no trouble installing the blade, no video needed, not even one as excellent as this one. Used the saw, then pulled the blade out and put everything away. Today (6-15-22) I tried to reinstall the blade, but the "piece" the blade is supposed to drop down onto is off 90 degrees. Suggestions appreciated. Hope I won’t have to tear the whole thing apart, but if that’s what’s needed, so be it.

Thanks for the video.. still the problem is whta do i do when that little black metal piece inside doesn’t turn with the saw? or doesn’t pop up & stay up? Love the saw as long as it keeps working for me!
Patricia McNeillon January 8, 2023 at 3:06 am
I can’t believe the 2nd saw has the same problem with the blade pin. I now have 2 of the saws and can’t adjust the pin to get the blade in. Instructions to push button one side while turning the pin does not work the pin will not move. If anyone can help I would really be Thankful.

If you find the line on the metal locking pin is facing the wrong way, just press the black button on the other side and keep it pressed then poke a flat-head screwdriver in to turn the pin.
Kenny Mackenzieon January 8, 2023 at 3:11 am
Can’t align hole in blade with port as it’s at 180 degrees to it, tried turning it with a screwdriver as i think it’s suggesting on the pathetic diagram, but can’t turn as it’s fixed by the metal surrounding it. Think Black and Decker have designed this appallingly, useless cunts.
Caco Corlinoon January 8, 2023 at 3:11 am
My unit was in the locked position with no blade in it. Could figure out how the hell to connect the blade. I saw your video and realized I needed to rotate the lock with a flathead screwdriver. It works now. Thank you

Thank you for this. After reading the reviews on Amazon I was really dreading having to get the blade in. But, I really needed a little saw like this. Also, like many others, I not only have trouble understanding written instructions but also reading the tiny print they use to save money. This goes for almost anything any more.
