Would I affect it any if I add caster wheels?

  7. Dennis Downes on February 9, 2022 at 10:26 pm

Great build! I now have some ideas for my table build. Great job wearing your PPE!! DD

  8. Jeff C on February 9, 2022 at 10:26 pm

I would prefer to have my saw on a separate stand that I can use as a off feed table with locking wheels.

  9. Darrell Coquillette on February 9, 2022 at 10:29 pm

It will be so much easier to build your next bench, when you already have one. I’m still using my first bench.
I’m sure at some point I will build a new better bench. Your shop is really starting to come together.
    Nice video too!

  10. Bob on February 9, 2022 at 10:30 pm

In the next build video, would you mind spending 20 seconds or so showing the finished result? I think that makes for a better video.

  11. jSkaffaa on February 9, 2022 at 10:31 pm

Awesome video. Can you do a guide on how to persuade your wife into allowing you to use all the garage space? Thanks mate.

  12. el_babo on February 9, 2022 at 10:33 pm

What quick clamps were you using that looks like they linked together?

  13. Mark Ginsberg on February 9, 2022 at 10:35 pm

This is an outstanding video! It shows how to build a workbench when there is almost nothing pre-existing to help with assembly. Much more applicable to a beginner. It is an important contribution. Thanks!

You forgot to make pocket holes, you forgot to make pocket holes!!!! Just kidding dude. Excellent video. Keep up the great wo6!! Bless you!

A little bit large for my single garage

  17. Sam Issara on February 9, 2022 at 10:39 pm

    I like his idea.

  18. MR: Root on February 9, 2022 at 10:40 pm

what is the name of this wood?

  19. Louis Landi on February 9, 2022 at 10:43 pm

    John,
This is not a good bench. It is a GREAT bench for a number of reasons. To begin with, I could hear every word. I have seen more work bench builds than I can count. Iโ€™m a beginner and you took your time. I learned

learned a lot of general construction methods. I have a similar DeWalt table saw. Mine is the 8&1/4 (Or is it 1/2?). Seems to be a popular model.
Iโ€™m sure every woodworker will make a modification but I will stay close to your design.
    Thank you very much!

Like why is there negative likes here. He built this professionally

  21. yeyo1999 on February 9, 2022 at 10:45 pm

    Very expensive table, i can’t believe a 2×4 is $6.50

  22. Fernando Oramas on February 9, 2022 at 10:50 pm

    Nice job ๐Ÿ‘

  23. Dave Beard on February 9, 2022 at 10:51 pm

Kind of disorganized…. Almost as if you made it up as you went along!

  24. Ping Pong on February 9, 2022 at 10:52 pm

That is such a solid build – extremely useful. Only downside is it’s lack of mobility – if you need it.

  25. Tzolkin Man on February 9, 2022 at 10:52 pm

You made yours almost identical to the one I made with a few exceptions, basically my plywood on top I did 2 layers making it 1.5" thick and it over hangs the frame 1" from all edges of the frame, I also made mine a bit shorter so I could put locking casters to make is easily movable. and lastly I used a Grizzly Portable saw witch is almost identical to the DeWALT

  26. Xyntax on February 9, 2022 at 10:53 pm

    Cool!

  27. Mark Guertin on February 9, 2022 at 10:54 pm

How do you operate the cam lock for the guide? Is there enough clearance to reach in from the front/side? It’s hard to tell from the video as we don’t really see a front side view once the saw is in place. Just getting ready to build out a similar bench for the same saw.

  28. Sir Mojito on February 9, 2022 at 10:54 pm

Awesome build thank you for clarifying everything

  29. David Oram on February 9, 2022 at 10:56 pm

    Thanks John, great video

  30. Darren Masom on February 9, 2022 at 10:57 pm

Standard and too simple. Rookie. I add drawers shelves and many Many useful things

  31. James Kelly on February 9, 2022 at 10:58 pm

Second time viewing. Did not notice before that you cut that 4×8 sheet of plywood in half without a track guide. Impressive. If I did it that cut would have lots of curves. Still deciding on this project but really impressed with your video. Well done.

  32. Vidas K. on February 9, 2022 at 11:00 pm

There is no left enough space for foot to stand close to table

  33. Rey Reyna on February 9, 2022 at 11:00 pm

Hola great video ๐Ÿ‘ can u send me d measurement s please

  34. Richard Stockton on February 9, 2022 at 11:01 pm

YouTube knows I went with my son to Home Depot today. I agonized over getting the DeWalt saw they have on sale, but I’m just not experienced enough and also can’t justify the $250 or whatever it was. I bought a brad nailer to console myself. Maybe I should build a bench for that instead.

  35. Ben Hanuka on February 9, 2022 at 11:03 pm

    Very helpful!

  36. Michael Jensen on February 9, 2022 at 11:03 pm

Really like the workbench, but damn, that was one convoluted construction process. I’ve got to do much the same with my Ridgid table saw.

  37. V on February 9, 2022 at 11:07 pm

    Awesome

  38. NAKMartialArts on February 9, 2022 at 11:08 pm

What kind of saw or brand are you using, to do all your cutting?

  39. Electronics Engineer on February 9, 2022 at 11:10 pm

    ..! To me!

  40. Corey Williams on February 9, 2022 at 11:11 pm

Hey man I have the exact same tablesaw that you have. And Iโ€™m looking to build this exact same workbench do you remember/can you measure the width for the clearance and height for the clearance for the tablesaw when you cut it out?

  41. Hansborg Desing on February 9, 2022 at 11:11 pm

    very good video.
i would miss a toe kick all the way around, just my opinion๐Ÿ˜œ

Any reason you didn’t use any glue or construction adhesive?
