In this video I’m showing you how I built a very easy workbench for my garage! This is an easy 2×4/plywood project that can be built in an afternoon and utilizing a lot of scraps. It’s so nice to have a place to tinker, and keep tools, in my garage now.

I’m a brand new DIY Woodworker and was excited to build myself a suitable workbench for my first project. This video was awesome and made my build a success. Thanks so much for your clear and thorough walkthrough!!!
Thanks, need a custom size workbench. This look like it will work.
Nice Job !!!!!!!!!!! 😀
I’m building this right now! Has anyone mounted pegboard the back of the bench rather than the wall? Not sure if that would work.

Awesome!
The bait and switch on the “free plans” mentioned multiple times in the video to the paid plans on the website is a bummer.
PPE maxed out
Do not see the link for plans
She says multiple times that the plans are free, but they’re for sale for $5 when you click the link.
Super cool! Thank you!!!
I built the same workbench i used 4×4 for legs and oak for the top
Bought the plans for this and they weren’t emailed to me.
Why are there 3 – 4’x8′ 3/4 plywood sections in parts list? Do you have plans for upgrades?
Thank you for the content. The best diy workbench. you are able to add on in the future. We cannot ask for more❤
Some really good tips in this video. Glad I decided to watch before I started building mine, the small overhang for clamping materials down is a really clever idea I wouldn’t have thought of and probably tried to invent a workaround later on
I want to learn so bad how to use all these tools do I can be self sufficient in making things I want for my home. I need a teacher or class. Thanks for sharing
When you attached the peg board to the back for your dads at his shop how did you secure this ? plywood then peg board to it ? Great bench ! Love the simple approachability of it.
Should add more 2×4 to the legs between the shelves and the floor. This build relies entirely on the shear strength of the nails. Entire thing is fighting gravity.
Need!
I did some research into this, while April is the face, muscle and talent of this channel, the little doggie is the mastermind of this entire operation! Notice how he/she is always walking around innocently in the background acting like a disinterested dog just smelling things, but is actually keeping and eye and barking out procedures and instructions to April.
Nice Build, simplicity and functionality all in one. I love to have a peg beg board for my tools, so this is great. Just moved into a new home and looking for a design for my 3rd garage soon to be come shop. Excellent, I love it…"and your little dog too"! Thank you!
Nice build that anyone can follow.
What guage, type of nails, and which nail gun?
I have both a 16 guage finish nailer and a b4ad nailer, will my finishing nailer work?
Video said link to free video below, but it goes to a $5 pay wall =(
Hi April. Thank you for posting this. Built this workbench last fall and it’s perfect for my garage. It took me a bit longer than you to build of course 🙂 I’d like to finish it with something durable on the work surface and paint the rest of it. Any suggestions?
It’s refreshing to see a female building something with clothes on!!! It seem more and more female are doing videos to get attention in their underwear……. Good job
April. I love your videos. I even have 1 build plan for garage shelves. QQ what type of nails did you use with the nail gun?
Nice job but you said the plans were free and hey they are not! They are $4.99
Love how simple you make this!
Women are THE BEST at teaching HOW to build stuff! Thank you!
You need to use screws on the frame. A nailer is ok for speed of getting it built, but screws are tougher. So use the nailer then go around and lock it up with screws.
Nice job. What are the overall dimensions?
This is a really good tutorial thanks
Most of the work isn’t shown. Someone has done the cuts for her and this is basically an advertisement for some products.
Lol at all the blokes feeling the need to say what they would have done better. Go make a video about it, see how many people care 😂
April this video is exactly what I was searching for , I have a small 1 car Garage with not much space for a work bench. This should do nicely. Thanks Laterz Leland
This awesome wish I had these skills trying to get started
Awesome build! Are you from south east Texas by chance?

Hi April, I found your site just in the time, I wanted to build a workbench in my garage, and your design and build are awesome!! I cannot wait to start. I am a newbie when it comes to nail guns and wondered if you used a 16 gage brad nail gun to shoot the 2 1/4 nails? Once Santa has left the building, I am onto my build of your plans, and I did purchase them as well. Look forward to hearing from you on the type of nail gun. Keep up the great work, glad I wondered your way. Thx Much!!!
I clicked the link for the plans and it costs $4.99. You said it was set of free plans. Am i missing something?
Nails? No way!
What a simple work and nice arrangement.
Your video inspiration i have planed in my home
Excellent video, now that’s a work bench. No more free plans? Thx
Curious before I buy the plans for this. How long and how tall is this bench?
I am SOOOOOOOOO impressed!! 🤩 I can’t wait to put together my own!!! Great work, April!!! 💪🏾
Can someone tell me what kind of nail gun she is using to attach the legs to the table, and what type of nails it should be using?
Is one sheet of plywood thick enough for a table top?
Oustanding work, you are one of the kind not every woman would go and start a project like that or at least feel confortable using tools , love the content keep the great smile.
