Just a tip! Maybe worth mentioning removing any resin before turning the blades, this will help them in alignment and safety. This can easily be done using parrafin and oil or simply scraping. Hope this helps.

I replaced the blades on my planer (same model as the one in the video) and now the stinking thing won’t plane. I have tried adjusting the depth and no matter what I do it isn’t taking anything off. Would love any advice you can give. THANKS!

Very Good. I haven’t flipped my blades on the Bosch so I guess I don’t need to buy anything yet. thanks (Hopefully they are double sided-haven’t looked yet)

Useful video. I bought a Black & Decker BD711 recently with no blades. Got some new blades but the steel plate that has a runner strip has strip facing outward. Tried reversing but blade won’t clamp. Can’t see how the blade is secured. Tried using an old blade on the strip with face edge facing inward knowing it wrong by your video., and  it snapped immediately. Scratching my head on this one. Any ideas?

  17. ScotsFurian on October 3, 2022 at 3:08 am

Waste of my time. Retarded video. You didnt even cover how to make sure the blades are parallel to the base. If you are going to release ‘tutorial’ or ‘educational’ videos please PLEASE try to cover content that people actually NEED ! All you did is show people how to undo a fucking bolt you dumb fucking shit.

Hey you guys are great, order parts from you guys all the time… but one suggestion, I think you should update this video and describe how to calibrate the blades – the planner you’re using comes with a small plastic jig that you use to space the card bide blades appropriately… anyways thanks for the videos, sincerely, a carpenter from California

@ScotsFurian if you are so wonderful, why don’t you make an instructional video instead of sounding off at someone who is at least off his ass trying??
Put up or shut up !

  32. R Dion on October 3, 2022 at 3:29 am

what about the single edge sharpenable blades? those mini blades are too weak for all the heavy framing planing i do.they shatter when hitting a nail and become trash.

  33. Vince Choraszewski on October 3, 2022 at 3:30 am

How can i get Ryobi slot rails for my saw

  34. BAdBrAd on October 3, 2022 at 3:34 am

You guys take entirely too long to assemble and ship parts out. 3.5 weeks for a couple of bracing bars for a table saw…. ridiculous!

  35. Matt de Oliveira on October 3, 2022 at 3:35 am
