absolutely beautiful
bravoooooo.
I keep imagining a long table that seats 10. 4 people on long seats. 2 on short. Long bench seats on each side that’s hard to topple over from kids climbing up on it. Two small bench seats on the ends. A 4 poster table, old country style, with a huge over hang that’s easy to slide the bench seats under. The edge is 5" wide. Then in an inlay, then going counter clockwise are figures walking, marching, playing around the table from all Studio Ghibli movies, all the characters doing various things, then another matching inlay above that, the table polished high and protected with thick layer clear resin that can be easily sanded to remove dings and dints. Me and dozens of others would pay high price for that.. Tons of anime fans out there.. I keep looking for an artisan to do it. Perhaps something you’re into that might inspire you?
Is it better to cut the inlay on a bandsaw vs a table saw?
Gratulation, great Job👍
the corners is what brings out this project, could you do some explanation on how you did it.
You look really young considering the level of skill you’ve achieved: whoever taught you…knew his business. I confess I was shocked at the amount of glue you used on the inlay grooves. Also: that you didn’t wipe the excess with a damp rag (The way I was taught). Tape? Not clamps on a length of scrap? It clearly didn’t do the table any harm; the results were fabulous. Just a matter of style/technique it would seem. Nice work!
Lovely, thank you
Great job, glad this came up as a suggested video as I’m looking at this process for a Tea Chest for my wife. Going to be busy checking out your other videos, thanks for sharing.
My adventure with woodworking began with projects from Woodglut.
What a shame what would of been an interesting video spoilt by Chipmunk music .
I do a fair bit of inlay work, mostly with boxwood, bubinga, ebony, and sometimes rippled sycamore…..I found my accuracy improved greatly by using a striking knife to mark the length of my inlay, instead of using a pencil. I use only hand tools for my work……I found if there is a mistake to be made, a hand tool only makes a little mark, while a router tends to ruin things very quickly…… so you feeling nervous with the router is understandable 🙂
Nice work my friend! 🙂
красава
Can you do a video on you making the table or would that be too late? Maybe you could even just give us a full walk around of the finished table please.
guapo el nene
Truly love this stuff, you have a special talent and some really nice equipment (jealous). What router do you use to do the inlays? Fan from the US.
Check out the top link in the description! On how to make the Inlay Banding!

Very nice job!
I bought Woodglut once and now I have lifetime access to thousands of woodworking projects.
Hey Sean, your work is stunning! I wish you would collaborate with Leo who is rebuilding a classic wooden sail boat in the USA….a fellow young Brit with the same get up and go as you….Check out Samson Boat Co on YT. You are a great talent mate!
Nice table, music’s ace!!!! Been sat here Shazaming everything. Thanks mate 🙂
I’ll tell ya what, you young gun, you’re doing some very impressive work, and I’ve been at this probably longer than you’ve been alive. I love seeing the younger generation finding the joy in high end wood working / furniture making that I have loved for my whole life – I’m looking forward to checking out your additional videos – Carry on, young man, Carry On!!
That’s insane young man!
All of these channels use the SAME ridiculous stock music… its so irritating. I’d rather hear the tools running or really anything else or just silence. Do you even watch your videos back?
👍👌
Beautiful wood, beautiful inlay work.
Workmanship looks top notch, but that camera…
GENIO!!!!
Do you have classes
What finish did you put on it at the end? It looks great
You don’t wipe of excess glue with damp rag before tapeing down?
A great video!! And an even greater table!!!
At least you are doing actual inlay instead marquetry. Simple geometric design. Decently executed.
Amazing artistry
Умничка, слов нет!!!
I’m sorry, but, the music is torture. I could not finish watching the video.
Pura vida sean muy lindo ese diseno de marqueteria buena nota por compartir
Hola Sean, como se llama lo que hay en la esquina interior del marco?
friend i live in brazil and do not have these projects could you help me where do i take the course for these projects
Exelent job!!!
Just saw your vid here. Beautiful work. But as a coin collector myself, I’d love to see your coin collection.
Nice vid. Would have been nice to see how you setiup the router and what measurements you used. That is a major part of it. That is my opinion though. I would have liked you to have taken us through it.
You have combined craftsmanship with Art. Stunning !
Хрень🥵
Just saw this, man you have some talent for a young person, keep it up mate, good to see the trade in such good hands 😁😁 will be watching your other videos now.
Lovely work, thank you.
