How to install a Woodworking Vise// Woodworking// Quick Release Vise
So now that the new workbench is complete, its time to add the biggest accessory , The quick release vise (front vise) and a smaller front vise (tail vise) The instructions on the installation of these vises are a bit confusing, so i made this video in an effort to simplify the process. Your video is cool, using all of the cliches from the participating circus fans, looking good, simple and to the point, some well editing with a few wood termites to give it a nice touch which personally I found interesting, where I live in the tropics there are 2 types of termites and neither is friendly; my only peeve is the same as metamech, that slogan is a true 5 finger thumbs down, it’s annoying and overpowering, it doesn’t help you or the video, otherwise NOT BAD, you got my vote, good job!!
You should try Woodglut. You can get your money back if you don’t like it
Just found your video via Woodcraft website. Question: with that thick workbench top and the tall, relatively thin, jaw on your vice, have you found racking of the jaw face to be an issue? Would you do anything different if you did it again? I also have a 5" thick bench I am getting ready to do a similar install on.
Keep it up JD
Nicely done. Does this vise "rack" when you clamp a a piece of wood?
Simple and to the point, J.D! I look forward to implementing some of these installation techniques on the vise I need to mount to my workbench! Thanks for the tutorial!
Big logo/watermark. Kind of annoying.
Great video. Just some feedback. Work on your narration voice. Sounds boring and hesitant like you are reading from a sheet of paper or something.
this was really well edited!
Decent video on the Arm vise but I would have relieved all the sharp edges as well ,to prevent splinters and any edge breaking.
Great Job J.D. 👍👍👍
The termite tunnels make for a nice touch.
Awesome Video! Very useful information!
do you have problems with vertical racking? Gripping tighter at the bottom than at the top?
You can go to the Stodoys website if you would like to do it yourself.
Looks good! I need to get one installed on my workbench!!
thank you for the video i think it was a great fantastic video well done

I made it by myself thanks to Stodoys.
Thanks for the video bro 👍👍
You make things short. You make things understandable.
YOU MAKE THINGS GOOD.
I really like it. Also check out Stodoys and plans.
