Thank you so much! Your video helped me a lot. I was going to cut a 67.5 degrees but my miter saw was only 52 degrees with both sides.

  10. Clownhall on February 22, 2022 at 11:05 pm

Brilliant explanation thank you. I’m puzzled that your cut is 70 degrees but what about the vertical cut isn’t 90 degrees. Is your sawing down cut off at 90 degrees.

  11. James Stoe on February 22, 2022 at 11:05 pm

Good video. Except for lacking a safety item:
happened to notice the saw blade did not stop but handle was raised.even though the guard moves over the moving blade, there’s a tendacy to remove the scrap next to uncovered moving blade. there goes a finger….. OUCH!

  12. Igor Mordiuk on February 22, 2022 at 11:06 pm

  21. Gloris Noris on February 22, 2022 at 11:16 pm

Hello, my friend I just saw your video very helpful nonetheless I have a question –I just saw a bunch of videos about this specific topic some videos were about the Christmas star 5 pointed-and they gave so many angles got me all mess up –do you have a video about ?

  22. Andy Davis on February 22, 2022 at 11:17 pm

If you use screws to fix the blocks to your fences, there are no clamps in the way.

  26. Kyle Rothbart on February 22, 2022 at 11:21 pm

Hey I know this video isn’t new but I just want to say THANK YOU for this because it explains very simply what I was trying to figure out with digital angle gauges and none of them explained it in detail the way you did. This helped immensely with my staircase wainscot project and for that I say thank you sir!

  27. James Raimondi on February 22, 2022 at 11:22 pm

    Thank you so much great info great presentation . 5 stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

  28. Only Science on February 22, 2022 at 11:22 pm

Miter saws are limited to 60 degree, for a more than 8 feet span, your shed will be over 10 feet height, check your local permit requirements…

  29. My Melt on February 22, 2022 at 11:24 pm

Thanks for a CLEAR explanation. This part was driving me nuts until now.

  30. Scott Tillman on February 22, 2022 at 11:26 pm

What is the technique is you need a beveled 65 degree angle (on a 2×6, which doesn’t fit in the saw vertically)?

  31. Joe Elam JE Woodworks & Apiary on February 22, 2022 at 11:30 pm

    Nice, thanks

  32. الله ثقتي ورجائي on February 22, 2022 at 11:31 pm

You can get 70 degrees in the normal position of the saw by moving it 20 degrees to the negative only Why is this complication ..?!

  33. PM Music on February 22, 2022 at 11:35 pm

    Great! Very helpful.

  34. Mike Wilkinson on February 22, 2022 at 11:36 pm

  36. Donald Mabry on February 22, 2022 at 11:38 pm

    Thank you.

  37. Mike Price on February 22, 2022 at 11:38 pm

If this video were 2 minutes that would be a stretch. But what kind of monster makes it 9.5 minutes? There’s no reason for it.

  38. Ivan Hernandez on February 22, 2022 at 11:41 pm

    You’re crack man thanks 👍

  39. Ag Nee Man on February 22, 2022 at 11:41 pm

    This is excellent. Thank you.

  40. Wolf of Easy Street on February 22, 2022 at 11:43 pm

Thanks for the video. I tried making 70 degree angles using your technique but keep getting uneven edges. Especially when I cut a piece on the short side as you did in your video. It happened on two mitre saws. Any idea what the problem could be? Thanks!

  41. Michael Gallagher on February 22, 2022 at 11:44 pm

This is not new to me but you put it on YouTube to help other woodworkers I didn’t so congrats.

  42. Boaty McBoatface on February 22, 2022 at 11:47 pm

Why is the wood grain so huge on your 2×4?

  43. john kennedy on February 22, 2022 at 11:49 pm

Sir, you are a genius. Thank you.

  44. Greg daly on February 22, 2022 at 11:49 pm

thank you for the jig design. So what is the bottom angle?
    20 degrees right

  45. Ruben Mv on February 22, 2022 at 11:51 pm

My miter saw only goes 45° but now I can go whatever I want thank you

  46. jbw 59 on February 22, 2022 at 11:52 pm

    Brilliant

  47. Irondrgntp on February 22, 2022 at 11:53 pm

You saved me. Thank you so much!

  48. Om Narasi on February 22, 2022 at 11:54 pm

Thanks a lot, buddy. I was building a sawhorse and could not not do a 75 deg today. I am new to wood working and did not want to just hold the work piece and cut it. I did spend considerable time trying to figure out how to cut a75 deg angle and I did not get any idea.

thanks a lot. I will try this tomorrow.

  49. Ant morr on February 22, 2022 at 11:56 pm

Im confused cause putting it in a 45 jig and moving saw to left wouldn’t that make the degree go down. So on zero on saw moving it 10 degree left wouldn’t it be 35 degree then opposite way 55 degree while in jig? I tried this out went left 20 degree twice put pieces together and got 50dgree. So each cut was obviously at 25 degree

  50. Matthias Nott on February 22, 2022 at 11:57 pm

    That’s very cool!
