    Nice work Dave!
    Love shaker furniture.
    Should shaker stuff more often!

  8. Patrick Schardt on October 13, 2022 at 3:00 am

Your idea of a personal journey for woodworking actually works for just about everything. I find a base recipe to use for cooking. I find a few others for flavor and enhancements. Then I personalize it to my liking. Add stuff, remove stuff, change quantities, etc

Also you rock your beard. Seeing you without one just seems strange to me. Haha

  9. Mr Green on October 13, 2022 at 3:00 am

Dave great project, plans purchased 😉

  10. JDG Industries on October 13, 2022 at 3:00 am

Great table! Still looking forward to the MakeMusic album!

  11. Alex Vargas on October 13, 2022 at 3:03 am

Just a poor knob! Time for you to make some resin knobs (fancy / basic / small / long / colorful / classic / on the lathe / with silicon molds / you name it). Great channel, thanks for sharing your knowledge

  12. Cassidi Olson on October 13, 2022 at 3:07 am

When you come for the woodworking, but end up watching the obscure 80’s music videos in the background. 🤘

  13. Shane Sanders on October 13, 2022 at 3:07 am

    What CAD program is that?

  14. Pee Taa on October 13, 2022 at 3:08 am

Dude, you are definitely not a Shaker. You’re a Mover!

  15. fvguima on October 13, 2022 at 3:09 am

Diggin’ the Tears for Fears in the background. Songs from the Big Chair came out 37 years ago today!!

  16. Alex W. on October 13, 2022 at 3:10 am

Wow, that was a lot of time between the ad break and the final assembly

  17. Brian Prusa on October 13, 2022 at 3:11 am

I prefer to taper on the jointer but great project!

  18. Ana Phylaxis on October 13, 2022 at 3:14 am

My main question when I saw this project was, how do I cut the tapered legs? That trick you showed is great! I don’t have a tapering jig. Thanks David.

  19. jayhitek on October 13, 2022 at 3:14 am

Hey David, quick question.. At the beginning of the video :14 when you cross cut the huge board on the table saw with the mitre gauge, How come you didn’t flip the board around and cut it being supported along the whole mitre gauge and have the off cut on table saw fence side of the blade?

  20. drodver on October 13, 2022 at 3:15 am

Made a few plant stands that are nearly identical in design to this. I used pocket holes for the first one but switched to mortise and tenon for the last two. The screws started cracking the legs and I wasn’t happy with alignment, the screws still caused some shifting. The mortise are tenons really didn’t take that much extra time.

  21. Ando Mumford on October 13, 2022 at 3:15 am

    Where’d the beard go?!?!?!

  22. Gregory Mize on October 13, 2022 at 3:16 am

Your little brother did a great job with Square Space ad!

  23. Josh on October 13, 2022 at 3:17 am

“If you don’t have a podcast, are you even a woodworker?” 🤣

  24. Jokeal on October 13, 2022 at 3:21 am

Why was this filmed over such a long period of time, that beard gave it away

  25. Life Happens Let's Fix It on October 13, 2022 at 3:21 am

Catching the dowel. Drops dowel on floor three times. Catches fourth dowel. Throws it on the floor. 😂🤣

  26. Williams Family Crafts on October 13, 2022 at 3:21 am

Not only was this an awesome video… you transformed!
Did not expect to see you without your beard and then back again.
    That was fun.

  27. HamOnTheCob on October 13, 2022 at 3:22 am

    Tears for Fears ftw!

  28. Dennis Downes on October 13, 2022 at 3:23 am

Shakers ……smakers! Build like you want to build!! Nice!! DD

  29. Nemo on October 13, 2022 at 3:24 am

"turn a knob" – "drill pretty deep". Dave, working kinda blue for this episode.
Kidding aside…. LOVE THE DESIGN, gonna build 2 for night stands.

  30. Shoey rocks on October 13, 2022 at 3:25 am

Hey Dave, don’t feel bad I got that same snow that you did just a bit sooner. See I live 3 miles from the Indiana Michigan line west of you. Stay making something your friend Shoey.

You should wear orange more. Orange is the new black. 👌

  32. Ian Ellery on October 13, 2022 at 3:27 am

It’s very odd when you switch from beard to no-beard for the sponsor, back to beard, then back to no-beard for the end of the video! 🤣

  33. Tim D on October 13, 2022 at 3:29 am

thnx this clarifies a few things

  34. Steven Taylor on October 13, 2022 at 3:30 am

  36. Bowers Custom Woodworking, LLC on October 13, 2022 at 3:32 am

Love the bead detail. Laughed out loud at you not being a shaker!

  37. Ira Kopilow on October 13, 2022 at 3:34 am

I am not sure it thje Shakers had tablesaws let alone SawStops. What is more important here is that this is a Shaker STYLE table. Oh, I see you shaved.

  38. Battlered 713 on October 13, 2022 at 3:36 am

2:50 Tears for Fears “Shout” aye!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

  41. jayhitek on October 13, 2022 at 3:40 am

No one is talking about his clean shaved face at the end?!?!?!? Is this the multiverse?!!

  42. Crown Mountain Woodworks on October 13, 2022 at 3:40 am

The flow of this video is the shiz! Also, when you made the slow-mo saw dust shots, were you trolling @jimmydiresta for his "love" of vimeo?

  43. La Bizounerie on October 13, 2022 at 3:41 am

Great video once again! It’s a neat idea to intergrate your short into the video, first time I’ve seen it done! 👍

  44. Mark design on October 13, 2022 at 3:41 am

Don’t have a jointer and a planer, sigh

  45. Rene Cimon on October 13, 2022 at 3:41 am

This is great, can we get the plan?

Cool use of acrylic for a little secret accent.

  50. Jk Canvas on October 13, 2022 at 3:45 am

Genius idea using double stick tape on some plywood for a tapering jig.
