Hey John, so the title of this video caught my attention.Only because ACCORDING to the VERY F ANNOYING, LONG, and like you ..ARROGANT (as you admitted to lol). Pathetic Video by. Next Level Carpentry . Spends 41 plus minutes bragging and claiming he has best push stick design. If I know you by now . You would hate this video as. Much as I do. But you just might learn something from him as he claims to have best design on the whole YouTube. Would love to hear your opinion to that video .

Disposable is the key. If you are worried about preserving your push stick you are compromising safety.

  4. André Mariano on September 21, 2022 at 1:58 am

just add an angle to the back part that pushes the piece. it will create a force to the fence even if you’re just pushing forward

  5. Michel Robert on September 21, 2022 at 1:59 am

merci pour le plan et la vidéo
en avez vous fait d’autres ?

  6. Alan on September 21, 2022 at 2:00 am

Would it worth it to make it a bit taller or bigger so the place where you hold it with your hand gets a bit far from the blade? Thanks

Please excuse my OCD tendencies, but the template shows a 9" bottom length from the point of the pusher to the notch. The 9" length is from end to end.
Whew…..I feel much better now. Thank you!

  9. Mark Hunt on September 21, 2022 at 2:05 am

I’m going to try that. I think I’ll use sandpaper on the bottom to help it grip

  10. Jeffrey Brant on September 21, 2022 at 2:06 am

How about gluing a strip of course sand paper to the bottom of the push stick for better traction and to prevent slippage?

  11. Abhishek Gourav on September 21, 2022 at 2:07 am

You are a professional so you use your hands to push the wood i place with your hand keeping in mind the position..but idiots like me😂 will forget where our hands are going

  12. ME First on September 21, 2022 at 2:09 am

WHY DO YOU WANT TO CUT TO PUT THE NOTCH ON YOU CAN GLUE THE BACK FOOT ON SIMPLE AND FASTER !!!!!!!!!! I USE TO WORK HARDER TOO !!! UNTIL I SAW A UFO

  13. Larry Bloom on September 21, 2022 at 2:12 am

I use it, but I’ve always added some rubbery self-adhesive tape to the bottom.

  14. kimberlie hef on September 21, 2022 at 2:13 am

Hi John , thanks for the videos ,great help for the beginners like myself  !, one problem though, I can’t download the stencil/print out of your push stick , any other way of getting one please? , thank you ,kind regards ,John.

  17. wayne miller on September 21, 2022 at 2:15 am

Jee Whiz John it doesn’t get any easier than that.
Really! No need to over complicate it. It’s a push stick..
I agree the plastic push sticks included with the saws are not ideal.
I’ve watched 4 push stick videos over the last hour and was glad I found yours.
Thanks for the free template. It’s sitting in my printer tray and it’s first thing on my list of things to make tomorrow.

  18. Rebootingwanderlust on September 21, 2022 at 2:17 am

    Thank you for the template.

Made a few today, much much much better than the push sticks that came with my table saw.

  19. Ed Reed on September 21, 2022 at 2:20 am

Thank you. Give it up for the Swans, eastside MSBG.

  20. Dave Lightfoot on September 21, 2022 at 2:20 am

Thanks John. I made one today and I love it. Only problem is I hade to wait for the wipe on poly to dry before I used it.

  21. 5 Minute Woodworker on September 21, 2022 at 2:20 am

I think you definately have Canada’s best push stick! However, I am claiming the America’s greatest push stick title, lol. Thank you for all of the great content over the years!

  24. johnpbh on September 21, 2022 at 2:22 am

Thanks so much for this little video. I had seen others use this type of push stick and realised that it was very good. Just a wee search in youtube and there you are. I have just downloaded the template so I say thanks again and away we go… 🙂

    Thanks

  28. DeNica Bishop on September 21, 2022 at 2:24 am

    This was great!!! Thanks!

  29. Tribulation Prepper on September 21, 2022 at 2:25 am

YOUR PUSH STICK COULD BE IMPROVED. The fact that your design places the catch at the rear of the stick means that you have to bend your body forward, further over the table, toward the blade as well as having to move your hand beyond the spinning blade to complete the cut. Placing the catch toward the front of the push stick eliminates both of these potentially hazardous bodily positionings. This is probably why DeWalt provides a push stick with their table saws that has the catch at the front end of the stick instead of at the handle end of the stick.

  30. Gilles sophie on September 21, 2022 at 2:25 am

Thanks for free plan from a beginner with a table saw.

  31. Patrick Hemming on September 21, 2022 at 2:25 am

Thank you!I received many brownie points from my wife for this!!

  32. Eric Bradshaw on September 21, 2022 at 2:27 am

Would you recommend adding something for more grip to the bottom of the push stick?

  33. African Cichlids on September 21, 2022 at 2:30 am

what’s the width of the bAndsaw blade

  34. jeff b on September 21, 2022 at 2:31 am

    Excellent! Well done.

  35. FRED Stewart on September 21, 2022 at 2:31 am

Thanks for the info very helpful

  36. ExpertOfSound on September 21, 2022 at 2:35 am

Awesome thanks for the free template!!!

I used some Plastidip rubber coating on the bottom of mine for extra grip on the material. I have no idea if this is safe or recommended, but just an idea I came up with haha

  37. With These Hands on September 21, 2022 at 2:36 am

Thank you. I feel like a push stick is something you make right when you first get started wood working. Many of the videos I’ve seen require a large amount of tools to complete. It’s nice to see it can be done easily with minimal tools.

  38. Brian Gass on September 21, 2022 at 2:37 am

Just made one from the template and it is indeed a good (world’s best) push stick. Thanks!

  39. Bernie Luciow on September 21, 2022 at 2:37 am

I’m looking to find the link for the free template but I’m not seeing it. Can anyone help me?

  40. MaineVids on September 21, 2022 at 2:39 am

Thanks for the template. I glued a strip of that anti skid material you use on counter tops, or tables. I think it works good.

  41. Kameron .W on September 21, 2022 at 2:41 am

Made this for my friend and it works well, Thanks for the template!

  42. Sandy Gerjets on September 21, 2022 at 2:45 am

  43. anthony villarreal on September 21, 2022 at 2:47 am

    Great project and advice!!

  44. Graeme McGregor on September 21, 2022 at 2:47 am

Thanks, just got my first table saw and will be using your style of push stick from the get-go.

  45. dllemm on September 21, 2022 at 2:47 am

Is it possible to get similar results without putting your hand over the blade?

  46. SuperEmab on September 21, 2022 at 2:51 am

    Where the pattern

  47. Luke Tanner on September 21, 2022 at 2:52 am

Didn’t know how much I needed a band saw until now 😒

  48. Kathy Sturm on September 21, 2022 at 2:52 am

Why do i have to add extensions to get a copy of this push stick. I can never get to the template. Any other way to get this pattern?

  49. Psyklops on September 21, 2022 at 2:55 am
