How To Make Cedar Wood Coasters & Centerpieces | Plus Giveaway!!
How To Make Cedar Wood Coasters & Centerpieces | Plus Giveaway!!
Here’s a fun “how to” video! We really like to be resourceful of the things on our farm! Recently we’ve been clearing out a lot of the eastern red cedars from our land, and we wanted to make good use of the wood, so here is one project that we like to do. Plus, we want to show our appreciation to you all who support our channel by watching and subscribing, so we thought we’d do our first giveaway!
To enter into the giveaway, it’s pretty simple:
1. Be a subscriber to our channel
2. Leave us a comment where you’re from
3. Be in the lower 48 of the United States
We’d also appreciate it (although not a requirement) if you’d share this video on all your social media sites and with your friends! It really helps us out! Thank you all!

Have you had any issues with these cracking or cupping? What process did you use to prevent that? How long was the wood cut before you cut the slices? So many questions… I’m trying to make some coasters from oak and ran into some issues with cupping, of all things. I have bunch of cedar I want to make some of this type of stuff from but it seems like it may be prone to splitting.
