Why do people attach a pice of wood to their fences? And other times not?

  2. chillywilly3610 on June 29, 2023 at 1:45 pm

I know it’s your channel but if you visit someone else’s shop he should be doing the talking and you ask questions as a viewer. My opinion of course

  3. David Ewing on June 29, 2023 at 1:45 pm

Cool! This was done not far from me! Really great quick how to vid!

  4. Louis Brooks on June 29, 2023 at 1:51 pm

I think even I could make those drawers. And of course everyone needs a good shop dog.

truly enjoyed watching and listening. Thank you for sharing your precious time and energy. Much appreciated. I don’t have a table saw so I’m still very much using hand tools for most of my projects, which isn’t always ideal but I’m making it work for me for the moment.

That dog had a fleeting thought of biting you in the face, then realized, "nah, he’s alright." ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‚

Why not just use a router instead of that table saw to join that?

For your 1/4 dado for the draw bottoms, how much space do you give around for expansion for going left right and forward back?

  13. Dan Robinson on June 29, 2023 at 2:04 pm

    Awesome. Thank you!

  14. Jesus M on June 29, 2023 at 2:06 pm

We make them from 1/2 multiply same proses but my drawer will be 1" around larger I can make 60 to 75 drawers a day.

  15. David Peters on June 29, 2023 at 2:06 pm

Great video! I’m not far from NRH, would have loved to meet you. I have found the quarter-quarter-quarter method to be the easiest and fastest method for drawers (which are really strong as well). You end up with a similar box but it only requires one setup on the saw for all your cuts, as opposed to the multiple setups required here. It also involves less math than this one and it works for any thickness of wood (you just make the dados half the thickness of the wood and setup accordingly). ๐Ÿ™‚ You do need a dado stack though, so this method is great for those without a dado stack. ๐Ÿ‘

I just finished an apothecary cabinet with 16 drawers. Didnโ€™t measure a one for square. If you build it right, theyโ€™ll come out square!
