Using the threaded inserts to attach the top – don’t you worry about seasonal movement of the wood?

Mega projekt und richtig schönes Ergebnis, aber die Tischplatte kann so doch gar nicht richtig quellen/ schwinden, ohne, dass sich der Rahmen darunter nicht verzieht oder liege ich da falsch?

I love to see the way you work!! It seems so easy, but of course it isn’t!
Very nice also this table, the design and the colour.
You are really great artists!! Compliments!👏👏👏

By the way… I’ve been particularly touched, thinking what you’re going through, by the song "A year ago" that you chose!!

  21. Sandi Reed on January 4, 2023 at 2:10 am

Beautiful finished piece. Curious did I miss how you are dealing with potential wood movement in your top, It’s connected very solidly to the heavy side rails.

  22. LiftOrGTFO on January 4, 2023 at 2:11 am

Wood working seems like an expensive hobby.

  23. Herbert Medina on January 4, 2023 at 2:12 am

I like watching your videos your work is amazing, but maybe you could have split the difference between the table-top and the base. So that the triangles you made at the top and bottom corners were the same size. Either way love the work.

  24. cttech85 on January 4, 2023 at 2:13 am

Bro I’ve watched weeks and weeks and weeks worth of YouTube woodworking videos, teaching myself how to woodwork. I have a respectable shop, with some decent equipment, tho not as nice as yours. However, your use of geometric angles are fantastic!! Walk by that table and one leg looks tiny, yet the other legs are square…quite the optical illusion. I’m highly impressed

Красиво, но зачем так сложно? Можно было просто что-то подложить, чем фрезером снимать столько древесины.

Заодно подсветку можно было сделать, что шов светился.

  38. EK Makes on January 4, 2023 at 2:30 am

Great job, though I would have run the dominos in line with the grain (as you would with a traditional tenon) rather than across the grain, but each to their own 👍😊

My respect to the young man for continuing this craft. Not all young people want to get their hands dirty these days. If something nice comes out of it then the work was worth it.

  44. Nick Google on January 4, 2023 at 2:35 am

The base looks to heavy compared to the top IMO.

Just foud your channel and subscribed! I love this piece so much in fact im going to make something similar for my parents. One question, I notice you screwed the top to the frame, are you concerned about wood movement? I did similar with a small coffee table and was told I needed to allow for the seasonal movement of the top? great video!
