Market place is a waste of time I’m losing my shirt on this wood working venture. Between tools and projects I’m almost broke I wish I never bothered. I’m on disability and can’t work a regular job , there goes my savings

I have been self employed my whole life, started knocking on doors when i was young asking what can i do for you to get paid. Did my military time. Got a J.O.B. and started knocking on doors again. Started a home improvement company. Pretty much retired now I still work 6 – 10 days a month. I have been wanting to start a wood shop business. Thank you for reminding me to put the work in and always honor God. Again thank you.

Your thoughts on construction to meet "orders" before the build.
I’ve been watching your videos for about a month now, and like everyone else find your perspective and insights super helpful. It was also interesting to hear you (briefly!) address your faith and mission, which I really appreciated. I don’t happen share that faith (or all the same views regarding policing in our country), but I can 110% respect how your faith gives you strength and purpose, and that when you see hardworking people that love and care for your community, you want to recognize and honor them. It’s never pushy, vain, or holier-than-thou, it’s just there to remind people to actually think about their perspectives and that they have the same options in life that you do. It’s refreshing, and I wish more people could take that route, because it builds mutual understanding and respect rather than tearing those things down.
And then of course there’s the generosity of your time in making these videos and sharing your knowledge. Obviously that humility and altruism is paying off, but I get the sense you’d do the same even if it didn’t, so thank you, sincerely.
Praise God for your commitment to spreading the Gospel. I found your channel a few months ago and I’m glad I did. I started my own business last year making epoxy countertops and other epoxy projects. I just recently started woodworking and your videos and plans are great. Keep spreading the Word and making content for us to watch.

Excellent video, thank you for the advice. Having a mission mindset really changes everything. I discovered this way of thinking from another great book called "It’s Good to be a Man". I highly recommend picking it up in one form or another. It’s all about biblical masculinity, what it is to not just be male, but to be good at being a man.

As someone without faith, I really respect the way you go about presenting yours. If I were inclined to seek it out, it’s available to me in a simple manner, but (and respectfully) I’m not inclined to want to know about your faith mission, yet I can happily watch your vlogs without feeling like it’s being pushed onto me, this gain all the other information you present.

The shirts are pretty cool, but everyone knows we’re here for the beard! I’ve been trying to rebuild my woodworking business and the area I moved to is a huge culture shock. If they can’t hold it in their hands and haggle for their deal, they don’t really want it. It doesn’t help that the few woodworkers around here price things so cheap there’s no way they’re making money. Those stove covers you show go for about 30-40 bucks which is insane.
I was hoping that you could give feedback on the best bench top jointer and the setup process – was it a nightmare or fairly straightforward.

When you use construction lumber , do you dry it? You may have a video , but if not could you make one concerning wood moisture .
