Hi, what thickness is the bench worktop and what are the dimensions of the end clamp? Thanks

You really like saying "Go Ahead" don`t you.

I guess there were more people than myself who wonder why did you not show it working? Plus does it go under the table? Did you have it upside down? Try to remember some of the people watching are basically as dumb as me and not an expert as yourself.

Excellent work, great teaching video. Minor comment: you can say "I’ll go ahead and…" less often, LOL! Again, thanks for the video.

What a gorgeous piece of hardware!

At 6:50 in the video you tighten the vise, causing the quick release to rotate and catch so the tightening can work. When I do this, the QR doesn’t rotate and catch, but if I nudge it with my hand it catches and works fine. A 1/4 counter-clockwise turn releases the vise perfectly. I took video of the disassembly and paid close attention to the QR orientation, so I know I have it installed correctly. Any ideas of what is going on? Will it likely work when the top is flipped (i.e. will gravity help the QR rotate and catch? Thanks.

I thought the inside wooden shoulder of the front vice needs to be inline with the bench top edge so as to clamp say a door?

How did you cut the spline between the workbench and inner vise face?

    “Go ahead"

Take a drink with every "go ahead and…"

I, for one, enjoyed the "go ahead." It was reassuring.

I thought the vise assembly went under the workbench.

The candle wax trick is a good one. A bar of soap works well too.

    Excellent video.

I just installed this same model on my work bench. But I am having trouble with the quick release mechanism. I installed it according to the photo on the box but dit comes apart when I use it. I have reviewed your video, thank you, and a couple others but the mechanism isn’t discussed much. Any ideas?

The video shows drilling holes for the bench dogs in both bench clamp faces. I would have thought you would only have bench dogs on the movable face, so that you can secure a board by tightening the vice. The other end of the board is kept in place by bench dogs on the top of the bench proper. Can you explain why you need the holes drilled on the inner face that is secured to the bench itself?
